Cântico de peregrinação.
1Senhor, a ti clamo,
do profundo desespero em que caí.
2Ouve-me, Senhor!
Dá atenção aos meus rogos!
3Se considerares os nossos pecados, Senhor,
quem é que poderá sequer manter-se vivo?
4Mas tu és um Deus que perdoa;
é isso que faz com que sejas temido.
5Confio em ti, esperando a tua resposta,
segundo o que prometeste.
6Anseio por ti, Senhor,
mais do que as sentinelas pelo romper da madrugada.
Sim, mais do que elas!
7Espera no Senhor, ó povo de Israel,
porque ele é cheio de misericórdia
e deseja salvar-te perfeitamente!
8Ele redimirá Israel de todas as suas iniquidades.
A Song of degrees.
1Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.
2Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
5I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

7Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
8And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
