1Recomendo-vos Febe, nossa irmã, que tem servido na igreja de Cencreia. 2Recebam-na com toda a afeição cristã, como deve ser entre crentes. Ajudem-na em tudo o que puderem, porque ela própria prestou o seu auxílio a muita gente na necessidade, incluindo eu próprio.
3Transmitam as minhas saudações a Priscila e a Áquila, meus colaboradores na obra de Jesus Cristo, 4que puseram em risco as suas vidas por minha causa. E não só eu, mas também todas as igrejas dos gentios lhes estão agradecidas. 5Peço-vos que deem as nossas saudações a todos aqueles que se reúnem na sua casa para o culto a Deus.
Deem cumprimentos ao meu querido amigo Epéneto que foi o primeiro, da província da Ásia, a converter-se a Cristo. 6Deem também lembranças minhas a Maria que tanto trabalhou para vos ajudar. 7O mesmo também a Andrónico e Júnia, meus parentes, que estiveram comigo na prisão. Eles gozam da consideração dos apóstolos e tornaram-se cristãos mesmo antes de mim. 8Transmitam a minha sincera amizade a Ampliato, a quem eu muito quero, no Senhor. 9Igualmente a Urbano, nosso colaborador, e a Estáquio, meu querido amigo.
10E há também Apeles, um homem que tem resistido, pelo poder de Cristo, a todas as provas; deem-lhe toda a minha estima. O mesmo peço que façam junto dos que trabalham na casa de Aristóbulo. 11Deem lembranças minhas a Herodião, também meu parente. E aos da casa de Narciso, que pertencem ao Senhor. 12Saudades a Trifena e a Trifosa, que trabalham para o Senhor fielmente. Também à estimada Pérsida que tanto se tem esforçado na obra de Deus. 13Saudações da minha parte a Rufo, esse cristão distinto, e a sua mãe, a qual foi igualmente uma mãe para mim.
14Peço também que deem lembranças minhas a Asíncrito, a Flegonte, a Hermes, a Patrobas, a Hermas e aos outros irmãos que estão com eles. 15Transmitam a minha amizade a Filólogo, a Júlia e a Nereu, assim como à sua irmã, e a Olimpas, tal como a todos os cristãos que com eles estão. 16Entre vocês, saúdem-se também uns aos outros com um beijo de irmãos crentes. Todas as igrejas daqui vos saúdam.

17Peço-vos que se afastem daqueles que andam a provocar divisões e a perturbar a fé das pessoas, ensinando coisas contrárias às que ouviram. 18Tal gente não está ao serviço do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo; servem-se antes a si mesmos. Em geral, sabem falar muito bem e as pessoas simples são enganadas por eles. 19Mas todos conhecem a vossa obediência a Cristo e isso muito me alegra. Queria que permanecessem esclarecidos no que respeita ao que é justo e de sobreaviso em relação ao mal. 20O Deus de paz não tardará a esmagar Satanás debaixo dos vossos pés. A graça de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo seja convosco. Que assim seja!

25Deus é poderoso para vos tornar firmes em toda a palavra do evangelho e na doutrina de Jesus Cristo. O plano de Deus para a salvação dos não-judeus manteve-se secreto desde o princípio dos tempos. 26Mas agora, tal como as Escrituras dos profetas previram, e como o Deus eterno tinha ordenado, esta mensagem é anunciada a todas nações para que possam crer e obedecer a Cristo. 27Ao único Deus, que possui toda a sabedoria, seja dada glória para sempre através de Jesus Cristo.
