A Páscoa
(Êx 12.14-20; Lv 23.5-8; Nm 28.16-25)
1Lembrem-se sempre de celebrar a Páscoa durante o mês de Abibe, porque foi numa noite desse mês que o Senhor, o vosso Deus, vos tirou do Egito. 2O vosso sacrifício de Páscoa será ou um cordeiro ou um boi, oferecido ao Senhor, vosso Deus, no lugar que o Senhor escolher para habitação do seu nome. 3Comam esse sacrifício com pão sem fermento durante sete dias, para se lembrarem daquele que comeram enquanto escapavam do Egito. Isto é para se lembrarem que deixaram o Egito com tal pressa que não tiveram tempo de deixar o pão fermentar. Lembrem-se desse dia durante toda a vossa vida. 4Durante sete dias não haverá fermento nas vossas casas; além disso, nada do cordeiro pascal será deixado para a manhã seguinte.
5A Páscoa não é para ser celebrada em qualquer das cidades, que o Senhor, vosso Deus, vos dará, 6mas sim no lugar que o Senhor tiver escolhido para o seu santuário. Celebrem o sacrifício ali, na tarde do dia do aniversário do acontecimento, ao fim do dia, ao pôr-do-sol. 7Cozam o cordeiro e comam-no, depois voltem para as vossas casas na manhã seguinte. 8Durante seis dias não comerão pão feito com fermento. No sétimo dia haverá uma reunião solene do povo de cada povoação perante o Senhor, vosso Deus. Não façam qualquer espécie de trabalho nesse dia.
A festa das semanas
(Lv 23.15-22; Nm 28.26-31)
9Sete semanas após o começo das colheitas, 10haverá outra festividade, na presença do Senhor, vosso Deus, chamada a festa das semanas. Nessa altura, tragam uma oferta voluntária que será proporcional em valor à bênção que receberam, de acordo com a colheita. 11Será uma ocasião de se alegrarem perante o Senhor, vosso Deus, com a vossa família e com todos os da casa, no lugar que ele escolher para habitação do seu nome. Não se esqueçam de incluir os levitas da vossa localidade nessa festa, como também os estrangeiros, as viúvas e os órfãos. Convidem-nos a acompanharem-vos nessa celebração. 12Lembrem-se que foram escravos no Egito! Por isso, tenham cuidado de seguir à risca este mandamento.
A festa dos tabernáculos
(Lv 23.33-43; Nm 29.12-39)
13Uma outra celebração será a festa dos tabernáculos que deverá ser realizada durante sete dias, no final da época das colheitas, depois do grão ter sido guardado e o vinho pisado no lagar. 14Há de ser uma ocasião de se alegrarem juntos, com a vossa família e os vossos escravos. Nunca se esqueçam de convidar também os levitas e os estrangeiros, os órfãos e viúvas da vossa localidade. 15Durante sete dias celebrarás esta festividade no santuário, no sítio que o Senhor, vosso Deus, tiver escolhido. Será uma oportunidade de expressar profunda gratidão e ação de graças ao Senhor pelas suas bênçãos, representadas numa tão boa colheita e em muitas outras coisas. Será um tempo de grande alegria.
16Cada homem de Israel deverá apresentar-se ao Senhor, seu Deus, no lugar que ele tiver escolhido, três vezes ao ano, para estas três festas:
a festa dos pães sem fermento,
a festa das semanas,
e a festa dos tabernáculos.
Em cada uma destas ocasiões tragam um presente ao Senhor. 17Deem o que está nas vossas possibilidades, de acordo com o que o Senhor, vosso Deus, vos abençoou.
Os juízes
18Designem juízes e funcionários administrativos para todas as cidades que o Senhor, vosso Deus, vos dá. Eles administrarão a justiça em todas as partes da terra. 19Nunca torçam a justiça em benefício de um rico, por exemplo, nem se deixem nunca comprar por presentes; porque o suborno cega os olhos até dos sábios e transtorna as palavras dos justos. 20Deve prevalecer só a justiça. É essa a única forma de terem sucesso na terra que o Senhor, vosso Deus, vos dá.
Não à idolatria
21Nunca ergam altares e imagens de postes ídolos de Achera junto do altar do Senhor, vosso Deus. 22E nunca levantem pilares religiosos, porque o Senhor, vosso Deus, os aborrece.
The Passover
1Observe the month of Aviv and celebrate the Passover of the Lord your God, because in the month of Aviv he brought you out of Egypt by night. 2Sacrifice as the Passover to the Lord your God an animal from your flock or herd at the place the Lord will choose as a dwelling for his Name. 3Do not eat it with bread made with yeast, but for seven days eat unleavened bread, the bread of affliction, because you left Egypt in haste – so that all the days of your life you may remember the time of your departure from Egypt. 4Let no yeast be found in your possession in all your land for seven days. Do not let any of the meat you sacrifice on the evening of the first day remain until morning.
5You must not sacrifice the Passover in any town the Lord your God gives you 6except in the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name. There you must sacrifice the Passover in the evening, when the sun goes down, on the anniversary16:6 Or down, at the time of day of your departure from Egypt. 7Roast it and eat it at the place the Lord your God will choose. Then in the morning return to your tents. 8For six days eat unleavened bread and on the seventh day hold an assembly to the Lord your God and do no work.
The Festival of Weeks
9Count seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the standing corn. 10Then celebrate the Festival of Weeks to the Lord your God by giving a freewill offering in proportion to the blessings the Lord your God has given you. 11And rejoice before the Lord your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name – you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, the Levites in your towns, and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows living among you. 12Remember that you were slaves in Egypt, and follow carefully these decrees.
The Festival of Tabernacles
13Celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles for seven days after you have gathered the produce of your threshing-floor and your winepress. 14Be joyful at your festival – you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, and the Levites, the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns. 15For seven days celebrate the festival to the Lord your God at the place the Lord will choose. For the Lord your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete.
16Three times a year all your men must appear before the Lord your God at the place he will choose: at the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks and the Festival of Tabernacles. No-one should appear before the Lord empty-handed: 17each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you.
Judges
18Appoint judges and officials for each of your tribes in every town the Lord your God is giving you, and they shall judge the people fairly. 19Do not pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the innocent. 20Follow justice and justice alone, so that you may live and possess the land the Lord your God is giving you.
Worshipping other gods
21Do not set up any wooden Asherah pole beside the altar you build to the Lord your God, 22and do not erect a sacred stone, for these the Lord your God hates.
