1 Crónicas 27:1-34

As divisões do exército

1O exército israelita estava dividido em doze regimentos, cada um com 24 000 militares, incluindo oficiais e corpo administrativo. Estas unidades eram chamadas ao serviço ativo um mês por ano. Esta é a lista das unidades e dos seus comandantes:

2-3o comandante da primeira divisão era Jasobeão, filho de Zabdiel, descendente de Perez; tinha sob o seu comando 24 000 militares que estavam em atividade no primeiro mês de cada ano;

4o comandante da segunda divisão era Dodai, descendente de Aoí; tinha sob o seu comando 24 000 homens; o seu serviço ativo era executado no segundo mês de cada ano; Miclote era o seu ajudante;

5o comandante da terceira divisão era Benaia, filho de Jeoiada; tinha sob o seu comando um exército de 24 000 homens, em serviço ativo no terceiro mês de cada ano; 6o comandante Benaia era filho de Jeoiada, o sumo sacerdote, chefe do grupo dos trinta oficiais de elite do exército de David; o seu filho Amizabade sucedeu-lhe no comando desta divisão;

7o comandante da quarta divisão era Asael, irmão de Joabe, que mais tarde foi substituído pelo seu filho Zebadias; tinha 24 000 soldados em serviço ativo no quarto mês;

8o comandante da quinta divisão era Samute, de Izra, com 24 000 homens no ativo durante o quinto mês;

9o comandante da sexta divisão era Ira, filho de Iques de Tecoa; tinha 24 000 militares no ativo durante o sexto mês;

10o comandante da sétima divisão era Helez, de Pelom em Efraim, com 24 000 homens em serviço ativo durante o sétimo mês;

11o comandante da oitava divisão era Sibecai, do clã Husate de Zera, que tinha 24 000 soldados em serviço no oitavo mês;

12o comandante da nona divisão era Abiezer, de Anatote, da tribo de Benjamim, que comandava 24 000 homens no nono mês;

13o comandante da décima divisão era Maarai, de Netofa em Zera, com 24 000 em serviço no décimo mês;

14o comandante da décima primeira divisão era Benaia, de Piraton em Efraim, com 24 000 soldados em serviço no décimo primeiro mês de cada ano;

15o comandante da décima segunda divisão era Heldai de Netofa, na área de Otniel, que tinha sob comando 24 000 homens no décimo segundo mês.

Os oficiais das tribos

16Os oficiais mais graduados, das tribos de Israel, eram os seguintes:

sobre a tribo de Rúben estava Eliezer, filho de Zicri;

sobre Simeão, Sefatias, filho de Maacá;

17sobre Levi, Hasabias, filho de Quemuel;

sobre os descendentes de Aarão, Zadoque;

18sobre Judá, Eliú, irmão do rei David;

sobre Issacar, Omri, filho de Micael;

19sobre Zebulão, Ismaías, filho de Obadias;

sobre Naftali, Jerimote, filho de Azriel;

20sobre Efraim, Oseias, filho de Azazias;

sobre a meia tribo de Manassés, Joel, filho de Pedaías;

21sobre a outra meia tribo de Manassés, em Gileade, Ido, filho de Zacarias;

sobre Benjamim, Jaasiel, filho de Abner;

22sobre Dan, Azarel, filho de Jeroão.

23Quando David os recenseou, não incluiu os de 20 anos e mais novos, porque o Senhor prometera multiplicar o seu povo como as estrelas do céu. 24Joabe iniciou o recenseamento, mas nunca chegou a acabá-lo, porque a ira de Deus caiu sobre Israel; o total nunca foi inscrito nas crónicas do rei David.

Os administradores do rei

25Azmavete, filho de Adiel, era o tesoureiro do palácio real e Jónatas, filho de Uzias, era o guarda dos armazéns de cada região, cidade, aldeia e fortaleza de Israel.

26Ezri, filho de Quelube, era o chefe do pessoal ao serviço do rei.

27Simei de Ramate era responsável por todas as vinhas do rei;

Zabdi de Sifma encarregava-se da produção vinícola e do seu armazenamento.

28Baal-Hanã de Gedera tinha a seu cargo os olivais e as figueiras bravas das planícies costeiras, próximo das fronteiras com os filisteus, enquanto Joás se encarregava do armazenamento do azeite.

29Sitrai de Sarom superintendia sobre o gado, nas planícies de Sarom;

Safate, filho de Adlai, tinha também a seu cargo o gado, mas nos vales.

30Obil, do território de Ismael, tinha a seu cargo os camelos;

Jedias de Meronote, os burros.

31As ovelhas estavam ao cuidado de Jaziz, o hagareno.

Estes eram os superintendentes do rei David.

32Jónatas, tio de David, era um sábio conselheiro e um homem muito instruído, e exercía a função de escriba.

Jeiel, filho de Hacmoni, era o tutor dos príncipes.

33Aitofel era o conselheiro oficial do rei e Husai, o arquita, era o seu consultor pessoal.

34Aitofel era assistido por Jeoiada, filho de Benaia, e por Abiatar.

Joabe era o comandante do exército israelita.

16¶ Furthermore over the tribes of Israel: the ruler of the Reubenites was Eliezer the son of Zichri: of the Simeonites, Shephatiah the son of Maachah: 17Of the Levites, Hashabiah the son of Kemuel: of the Aaronites, Zadok: 18Of Judah, Elihu, one of the brethren of David: of Issachar, Omri the son of Michael:27.18 Elihu: also called, Eliab 19Of Zebulun, Ishmaiah the son of Obadiah: of Naphtali, Jerimoth the son of Azriel: 20Of the children of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Azaziah: of the half tribe of Manasseh, Joel the son of Pedaiah: 21Of the half tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah: of Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner: 22Of Dan, Azareel the son of Jeroham. These were the princes of the tribes of Israel.

23¶ But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under: because the LORD had said he would increase Israel like to the stars of the heavens. 24Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but he finished not, because there fell wrath for it against Israel; neither was the number put in the account of the chronicles of king David.27.24 was: Heb. ascended

25¶ And over the king’s treasures was Azmaveth the son of Adiel: and over the storehouses in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the castles, was Jehonathan the son of Uzziah: 26And over them that did the work of the field for tillage of the ground was Ezri the son of Chelub: 27And over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite: over the increase of the vineyards for the wine cellars was Zabdi the Shiphmite:27.27 over the increase…: Heb. over that which was of the vineyards 28And over the olive trees and the sycomore trees that were in the low plains was Baal-hanan the Gederite: and over the cellars of oil was Joash: 29And over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite: and over the herds that were in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai: 30Over the camels also was Obil the Ishmaelite: and over the asses was Jehdeiah the Meronothite: 31And over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagerite.
