Al director musical. De David, el siervo del Señor.
1El pecado habla al malvado
en lo profundo de su corazón.
No hay temor de Dios
delante de sus ojos.
2Cree que merece alabanzas,
al punto de no hallar aborrecible su propio pecado.
3Sus palabras son malvadas y engañosas;
ha perdido el buen juicio
y la capacidad de hacer el bien.
4Aun en su lecho trama hacer iniquidad;
se aferra a su mal camino
y no rechaza la maldad.
5Tu amor, Señor, llega hasta los cielos;
tu fidelidad alcanza las nubes.
6Tu justicia es como las altas montañas;36:6 las altas montañas. Alt. las montañas de Dios.
tus juicios, tan profundos como el mar.
Tú, Señor, cuidas de hombres y animales;
7¡cuán precioso, oh Dios, es tu gran amor!
Todo ser humano halla refugio
a la sombra de tus alas.
8Se sacian de la abundancia de tu casa;
les das a beber en el río de tus delicias.
9Porque en ti está la fuente de la vida
y en tu luz podemos ver la luz.
10Extiende tu amor a los que te conocen
y tu justicia a los de corazón sincero.
11Que no me aplaste el pie del orgulloso
ni me desarraigue la mano del impío.
12Vean cómo fracasan los malvados:
¡fueron derribados y no pueden levantarse!

9For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

11Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.
