Salmo 146
1Aleluia!
Louve, ó minha alma, o Senhor.
2Louvarei o Senhor por toda a minha vida;
cantarei louvores ao meu Deus enquanto eu viver.
3Não confiem em príncipes,
em meros mortais, incapazes de salvar.
4Quando o espírito deles se vai, eles voltam ao pó;
naquele mesmo dia acabam-se os seus planos.
5Como é feliz aquele cujo auxílio é o Deus de Jacó,
cuja esperança está no Senhor, no seu Deus,
6que fez os céus e a terra,
o mar e tudo o que neles há,
e que mantém a sua fidelidade para sempre!
7Ele defende a causa dos oprimidos
e dá alimento aos famintos.
O Senhor liberta os presos,
8o Senhor dá vista aos cegos,
o Senhor levanta os abatidos,
o Senhor ama os justos.
9O Senhor protege o estrangeiro
e sustém o órfão e a viúva,
mas frustra o propósito dos ímpios.
10O Senhor reina para sempre!
O teu Deus, ó Sião, reina de geração em geração.

Psalm 146
1Praise the Lord.
I will praise the Lord.
2I will praise the Lord all my life.
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
3Don’t put your trust in human leaders.
Don’t trust in people who can’t save you.
4When they die, they return to the ground.
On that day their plans come to nothing.
5Blessed are those who depend on the God of Jacob for help.
Blessed are those who put their hope in the Lord their God.
6He is the Maker of heaven and earth and the ocean.
He made everything in them.
He remains faithful forever.
7He stands up for those who are treated badly.
He gives food to hungry people.
The Lord sets prisoners free.
8The Lord gives sight to those who are blind.
The Lord lifts up those who feel helpless.
The Lord loves those who do what is right.
9The Lord watches over the outsiders who live in our land.
He takes good care of children whose fathers have died.
He also takes good care of widows.
But he causes evil people to fail
in everything they do.
10The Lord rules forever.
The God of Zion will rule for all time to come.
Praise the Lord.
