Salmo 138
Davídico.
1Eu te louvarei, Senhor, de todo o coração;
diante dos deuses cantarei louvores a ti.
2Voltado para o teu santo templo eu me prostrarei
e renderei graças ao teu nome,
por causa do teu amor e da tua fidelidade;
pois exaltaste acima de todas as coisas
o teu nome e a tua palavra.
3Quando clamei, tu me respondeste;
deste-me força e coragem.
4Todos os reis da terra te renderão graças, Senhor,
pois saberão das tuas promessas.
5Celebrarão os feitos do Senhor,
pois grande é a glória do Senhor!
6Embora esteja nas alturas, o Senhor olha para os humildes,
e de longe reconhece os arrogantes.
7Ainda que eu passe por angústias,
tu me preservas a vida da ira dos meus inimigos;
estendes a tua mão direita e me livras.
8O Senhor cumprirá o seu propósito para comigo!
Teu amor, Senhor, permanece para sempre;
não abandones as obras das tuas mãos!

Of David.
1I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart;
before the “gods” I will sing your praise.
2I will bow down toward your holy temple
and will praise your name
for your unfailing love and your faithfulness,
for you have so exalted your solemn decree
that it surpasses your fame.
3When I called, you answered me;
you greatly emboldened me.
4May all the kings of the earth praise you, Lord,
when they hear what you have decreed.
5May they sing of the ways of the Lord,
for the glory of the Lord is great.
6Though the Lord is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly;
though lofty, he sees them from afar.
7Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
you preserve my life.
You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes;
with your right hand you save me.
8The Lord will vindicate me;
your love, Lord, endures forever—
do not abandon the works of your hands.
