Cântico de Peregrinação.
1Das profundezas clamo a ti, Senhor;
2ouve, Senhor, a minha voz!
Estejam atentos os teus ouvidos às minhas súplicas!
3Se tu, Soberano Senhor,
registrasses os pecados, quem escaparia?
4Mas contigo está o perdão
para que sejas temido.
5Espero no Senhor com todo o meu ser
e na sua palavra ponho a minha esperança.
6Espero pelo Senhor
mais do que as sentinelas pela manhã;
sim, mais do que as sentinelas esperam pela manhã!
7Ponha a sua esperança no Senhor, ó Israel,
pois no Senhor há amor leal e plena redenção.
8Ele próprio redimirá Israel
de todas as suas culpas.

1Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord;
2Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
to my cry for mercy.
3If you, Lord, kept a record of sins,
Lord, who could stand?
4But with you there is forgiveness,
so that we can, with reverence, serve you.
5I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
6I wait for the Lord
more than watchmen wait for the morning,
more than watchmen wait for the morning.
7Israel, put your hope in the Lord,
for with the Lord is unfailing love
and with him is full redemption.
8He himself will redeem Israel
from all their sins.
