Salmo 125
Cântico de Peregrinação.
1Os que confiam no Senhor são como o monte Sião,
que não se pode abalar, mas permanece para sempre.
2Como os montes cercam Jerusalém,
assim o Senhor protege o seu povo,
desde agora e para sempre.
3O cetro dos ímpios não prevalecerá
sobre a terra dada aos justos;
se assim fosse,
até os justos praticariam a injustiça.
4Senhor, trata com bondade os que fazem o bem,
os que têm coração íntegro.
5Mas, aos que se desviam por caminhos tortuosos,
o Senhor infligirá o castigo dado aos malfeitores.

Psalm 125
A song of ascents.
1Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be shaken but endures for ever.
2As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the Lord surrounds his people
both now and for evermore.
3The sceptre of the wicked will not remain
over the land allotted to the righteous,
for then the righteous might use
their hands to do evil.
4Lord, do good to those who are good,
to those who are upright in heart.
5But those who turn to crooked ways
the Lord will banish with the evildoers.
