1Disse ainda o Senhor a Moisés: 2“Se alguém pecar, cometendo um erro contra o Senhor, enganando o seu próximo no que diz respeito a algo que lhe foi confiado ou deixado como penhor ou roubado, ou se lhe extorquir algo, 3ou se achar algum bem perdido e mentir a respeito disso, ou se jurar falsamente a respeito de qualquer coisa, cometendo pecado; 4quando assim pecar, tornando-se por isso culpado, terá que devolver o que roubou ou tomou mediante extorsão, ou o que lhe foi confiado, ou os bens perdidos que achou, 5ou qualquer coisa sobre a qual tenha jurado falsamente. Fará restituição plena, acrescentará a isso um quinto do valor e dará tudo ao proprietário no dia em que apresentar a sua oferta pela culpa. 6E por sua culpa trará ao sacerdote uma oferta dedicada ao Senhor: um carneiro do rebanho, sem defeito e devidamente avaliado. 7Dessa forma, o sacerdote fará propiciação pelo culpado perante o Senhor, e ele será perdoado de qualquer dessas coisas que fez e que o tornou culpado”.
A Regulamentação acerca do Holocausto
8O Senhor disse a Moisés: 9“Dê este mandamento a Arão e a seus filhos, a regulamentação acerca do holocausto: Ele terá que ficar queimando até de manhã sobre as brasas do altar, onde o fogo terá que ser mantido aceso. 10O sacerdote vestirá suas roupas de linho e os calções de linho por baixo, retirará as cinzas do holocausto que o fogo consumiu no altar e as colocará ao lado do altar. 11Depois trocará de roupa e levará as cinzas para fora do acampamento, a um lugar cerimonialmente puro. 12Mantenha-se aceso o fogo no altar; não deve ser apagado. Toda manhã o sacerdote acrescentará lenha, arrumará o holocausto sobre o fogo e queimará sobre ele a gordura das ofertas de comunhão. 13Mantenha-se o fogo continuamente aceso no altar; não deve ser apagado.
A Regulamentação da Oferta de Cereal
14“Esta é a regulamentação da oferta de cereal: Os filhos de Arão a apresentarão ao Senhor, em frente do altar. 15O sacerdote apanhará um punhado da melhor farinha com óleo, com todo o incenso que está sobre a oferta de cereal, e queimará no altar a porção memorial como aroma agradável ao Senhor. 16Arão e seus filhos comerão o restante da oferta, mas deverão comê-lo sem fermento e em lugar sagrado, no pátio da Tenda do Encontro. 17Essa oferta não será assada com fermento; eu a dei a eles como porção das ofertas feitas a mim com fogo. É santíssima, como a oferta pelo pecado e como a oferta pela culpa. 18Somente os homens descendentes de Arão poderão comer da porção das ofertas dedicadas ao Senhor, preparadas no fogo. É um decreto perpétuo para as suas gerações. Tudo o que nelas tocar se tornará santo6.18 Ou Todo aquele que nelas tocar deve ser santo; também no versículo 27.”.
19O Senhor disse também a Moisés: 20“Esta é a oferta que Arão e os seus descendentes terão que trazer ao Senhor no dia em que ele6.20 Ou cada um for ungido: um jarro6.20 Hebraico: 1/10 de efa. O efa era uma medida de capacidade para secos. As estimativas variam entre 20 e 40 litros. da melhor farinha, como na oferta regular de cereal, metade pela manhã e metade à tarde. 21Prepare-a com óleo numa assadeira; traga-a bem misturada e apresente a oferta de cereal partida em pedaços, como aroma agradável ao Senhor. 22Todo sacerdote ungido, dos descendentes de Arão, também preparará essa oferta. É a porção do Senhor por decreto perpétuo e será totalmente queimada. 23Toda oferta de cereal do sacerdote será totalmente queimada; não será comida”.
A Regulamentação da Oferta pelo Pecado
24O Senhor disse a Moisés: 25“Diga a Arão e aos seus filhos a regulamentação da oferta pelo pecado: O animal da oferta pelo pecado será morto perante o Senhor no local onde é sacrificado o holocausto; é uma oferta santíssima. 26O sacerdote que oferecer o animal o comerá em lugar sagrado, no pátio da Tenda do Encontro. 27Tudo o que tocar na carne se tornará santo; se o sangue respingar na roupa, será lavada em lugar sagrado. 28A vasilha de barro em que a carne for cozida deverá ser quebrada; mas, se for cozida numa vasilha de bronze, a vasilha deverá ser esfregada e enxaguada com água. 29Somente os homens da família dos sacerdotes poderão comê-la; é uma oferta santíssima. 30Mas toda oferta pelo pecado, cujo sangue for trazido para a Tenda do Encontro para propiciação no Lugar Santo, não será comida; terá que ser queimada.
In Hebrew texts 6:1-7 is numbered 5:20-26, and 6:8-30 is numbered 6:1-23. 1The Lord said to Moses: 2‘If anyone sins and is unfaithful to the Lord by deceiving a neighbour about something entrusted to them or left in their care or about something stolen, or if they cheat their neighbour, 3or if they find lost property and lie about it, or if they swear falsely about any such sin that people may commit – 4when they sin in any of these ways and realise their guilt, they must return what they have stolen or taken by extortion, or what was entrusted to them, or the lost property they found, 5or whatever it was they swore falsely about. They must make restitution in full, add a fifth of the value to it and give it all to the owner on the day they present their guilt offering. 6And as a penalty they must bring to the priest, that is, to the Lord, their guilt offering, a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value. 7In this way the priest will make atonement for them before the Lord, and they will be forgiven for any of the things they did that made them guilty.’
The burnt offering
8The Lord said to Moses: 9‘Give Aaron and his sons this command: “These are the regulations for the burnt offering: the burnt offering is to remain on the altar hearth throughout the night, till morning, and the fire must be kept burning on the altar. 10The priest shall then put on his linen clothes, with linen undergarments next to his body, and shall remove the ashes of the burnt offering that the fire has consumed on the altar and place them beside the altar. 11Then he is to take off these clothes and put on others, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a place that is ceremonially clean. 12The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat of the fellowship offerings on it. 13The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.
The grain offering
14‘ “These are the regulations for the grain offering: Aaron’s sons are to bring it before the Lord, in front of the altar. 15The priest is to take a handful of the finest flour and some olive oil, together with all the incense on the grain offering, and burn the memorial6:15 Or representative portion on the altar as an aroma pleasing to the Lord. 16Aaron and his sons shall eat the rest of it, but it is to be eaten without yeast in the sanctuary area; they are to eat it in the courtyard of the tent of meeting. 17It must not be baked with yeast; I have given it as their share of the food offerings presented to me. Like the sin offering6:17 Or purification offering; also in verses 25 and 30 and the guilt offering, it is most holy. 18Any male descendant of Aaron may eat it. For all generations to come it is his perpetual share of the food offerings presented to the Lord. Whatever touches it will become holy.6:18 Or Whoever touches them must be holy; similarly in verse 27” ’
19The Lord also said to Moses, 20‘This is the offering Aaron and his sons are to bring to the Lord on the day he6:20 Or each is anointed: a tenth of an ephah6:20 That is, probably about 1.6 kilograms of the finest flour as a regular grain offering, half of it in the morning and half in the evening. 21It must be prepared with oil on a griddle; bring it well-mixed and present the grain offering broken6:21 The meaning of the Hebrew for this word is uncertain. in pieces as an aroma pleasing to the Lord. 22The son who is to succeed him as anointed priest shall prepare it. It is the Lord’s perpetual share and is to be burned completely. 23Every grain offering of a priest shall be burned completely; it must not be eaten.’
The sin offering
24The Lord said to Moses, 25‘Say to Aaron and his sons: “These are the regulations for the sin offering: the sin offering is to be slaughtered before the Lord in the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered; it is most holy. 26The priest who offers it shall eat it; it is to be eaten in the sanctuary area, in the courtyard of the tent of meeting. 27Whatever touches any of the flesh will become holy, and if any of the blood is spattered on a garment, you must wash it in the sanctuary area. 28The clay pot that the meat is cooked in must be broken; but if it is cooked in a bronze pot, the pot is to be scoured and rinsed with water. 29Any male in a priest’s family may eat it; it is most holy. 30But any sin offering whose blood is brought into the tent of meeting to make atonement in the Holy Place must not be eaten; it must be burned.
