Profetia över Kush
1Ve dig, du land av surrande flygfän,
du land längs Kushs floder,
2som skickar sändebud över havet,
med papyrusbåtar över vattnen!
Gå, ni snabbfotade budbärare,
till ert välväxta folk med glänsande hy,
ett folk som är fruktat vida omkring,
det starka och segerrika folket

3Alla ni världens invånare,
ni som bor på jorden,
lägg märke till banéret som reses på bergen,
och lyssna till hornet som ljuder.
4För så säger Herren till mig:
”Jag ska vara stilla och betrakta er från min boning,
likt solskenets skimrande hetta
och daggens moln som sänker sig över skörden.”
5För innan skördetiden är inne,
när vinrankorna slutat blomma
och druvorna börjat mogna,
ska han skära av skotten med en kniv
och ta bort grenarna.
6Allt ska lämnas åt rovfåglarna i bergen
och markens djur.
Rovfåglarna ska leva av dem på sommaren
och markens djur på vintern.
7På den tiden ska gåvor bäras fram till härskarornas Herre av det högväxta folket med glänsande hy, ett folk som är fruktat vida omkring, det starka och segerrika folket, vars land delas av floder, till platsen för härskarornas Herres namn, Sions berg.
