Victoria Ierusalimului
1O rostire a Cuvântului Domnului cu privire la Israel, zice Domnul, Cel Ce a întins cerurile și a întemeiat pământul, Cel Ce a întocmit duhul omului înăuntrul lui: 2„Iată, voi preface Ierusalimul într‑un potir amețitor pentru toate popoarele dimprejur. Chiar și Iuda va fi asediat împreună cu Ierusalimul. 3În ziua aceea, voi preface Ierusalimul într‑o piatră grea pentru toate popoarele. Toți cei ce vor încerca să o miște se vor răni; da, toate neamurile pământului se vor strânge împotriva lui. 4În ziua aceea, zice Domnul, voi lovi toți caii cu panică, iar pe călăreți cu nebunie. Voi avea însă ochii deschiși asupra Casei lui Iuda, atunci când voi lovi cu orbire toți caii popoarelor! 5Atunci conducătorii lui Iuda își vor zice în inima lor: «Locuitorii Ierusalimului sunt puterea noastră, prin5 Sau: Locuitorii Ierusalimului își au puterea în. Domnul Oștirilor, Dumnezeul lor!»
6În ziua aceea, îi voi face pe conducătorii lui Iuda ca un vas cu jăratic sub o grămadă de lemne și ca o torță aprinsă într‑un snop! Ei vor mistui, în dreapta și în stânga, toate popoarele din jur, în timp ce Ierusalimul va continua să rămână pe propriul lui loc6 TM adaugă: în Ierusalim..
7Domnul va izbăvi mai întâi corturile lui Iuda, pentru ca măreția Casei lui David și măreția locuitorilor Ierusalimului să nu se înalțe peste Iuda. 8În ziua aceea, Domnul îi va ocroti pe locuitorii Ierusalimului. Astfel, cel mai firav dintre ei va fi, în acea zi, ca David, iar Casa lui David va fi ca Dumnezeu, ca Îngerul Domnului înaintea lor. 9În ziua aceea, voi căuta să nimicesc toate neamurile care vor veni împotriva Ierusalimului.
Plânset pentru Cel pe Care L‑au străpuns
10Și voi turna peste Casa lui David și peste locuitorii Ierusalimului Duhul harului și al rugăciunilor. Vor privi la Mine, la Cel pe Care L‑au străpuns și Îl vor jeli cum jelește cineva pe singurul său fiu și se vor tângui amarnic, cum se tânguie cineva după întâiul născut. 11În ziua aceea, jalea va fi mare în Ierusalim, la fel ca jalea lui Hadad-Rimon11 Probabil un obicei păgân, prin care era jelită o zeitate, în cazul acesta Hadad-Rimon (Baal la fenicieni), zeul furtunii la semiți (vezi și Eze. 8:14); posibil cu referire la locul unde poporul a plâns moartea regelui Iosia (vezi 2 Cron. 35:20-27)., în valea Meghido. 12Țara va jeli, fiecare clan jelind în mod separat: clanul Casei lui David, separat, și soțiile lor, separat; clanul casei lui Natan, separat, și soțiile lor, separat; 13clanul Casei lui Levi, separat, și soțiile lor, separat; clanul lui Șimei, separat, și soțiile lor, separat; 14toate celelalte clanuri rămase, adică fiecare clan, separat, și soțiile lor, separat.
Jerusalem’s Enemies to Be Destroyed
1A prophecy: The word of the Lord concerning Israel.
The Lord, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the human spirit within a person, declares: 2“I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. 3On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves. 4On that day I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness,” declares the Lord. “I will keep a watchful eye over Judah, but I will blind all the horses of the nations. 5Then the clans of Judah will say in their hearts, ‘The people of Jerusalem are strong, because the Lord Almighty is their God.’
6“On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume all the surrounding peoples right and left, but Jerusalem will remain intact in her place.
7“The Lord will save the dwellings of Judah first, so that the honor of the house of David and of Jerusalem’s inhabitants may not be greater than that of Judah. 8On that day the Lord will shield those who live in Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the Lord going before them. 9On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem.
Mourning for the One They Pierced
10“And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit12:10 Or the Spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on12:10 Or to me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son. 11On that day the weeping in Jerusalem will be as great as the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo. 12The land will mourn, each clan by itself, with their wives by themselves: the clan of the house of David and their wives, the clan of the house of Nathan and their wives, 13the clan of the house of Levi and their wives, the clan of Shimei and their wives, 14and all the rest of the clans and their wives.
