Psalmul 99
1Domnul împărățește! Să tremure popoarele!
El tronează deasupra heruvimilor! Să se cutremure pământul!
2Domnul este mare în Sion;
El este înălțat peste toate popoarele.
3Să aducă mulțumiri Numelui Tău cel mare și de temut:
El este sfânt!
4Împăratul este puternic și iubește dreptatea.
Tu ai statornicit nepărtinirea;
Tu ai făcut judecată și dreptate în Iacov4 Adică în Israel (printre israeliți, descendenții lui Iacov)..
5Înălțați‑L pe Domnul, Dumnezeul nostru,
și închinați‑vă lângă scăunașul5 Termenul ebraic se referă la scăunașul pe care un rege își odihnea picioarele, atunci când ședea pe tron (vezi 2 Cron. 9:18; Ps. 110:1). picioarelor Sale:
El este sfânt!
6Moise și Aaron erau dintre preoții Săi,
iar Samuel – dintre cei ce‑I chemau Numele;
ei L‑au chemat pe Domnul
și El le‑a răspuns.
7Le‑a vorbit din stâlpul de nor,
iar ei au păzit mărturiile și hotărârile pe care El le‑a dat.
8Doamne, Dumnezeul nostru,
Tu le‑ai răspuns;
ai fost pentru ei8 Sau: pentru Israel. un Dumnezeu Care iartă,
dar și Unul Care Te‑ai răzbunat pe ei din cauza faptelor lor.
9Înălțați pe Domnul, Dumnezeul nostru,
și închinați‑vă pe muntele Lui cel sfânt,
căci Domnul, Dumnezeul nostru, este sfânt!
Psalm 99
1The Lord rules.
Let the nations tremble.
He sits on his throne between the cherubim.
Let the earth shake.
2Great is the Lord in Zion.
He is honored over all the nations.
3Let them praise his great and wonderful name.
He is holy.
4The King is mighty and loves justice.
He has set up the rules for fairness.
He has done what is right and fair
for the people of Jacob.
5Honor the Lord our God.
Worship at his feet.
He is holy.
6Moses and Aaron were two of his priests.
Samuel was one of those who worshiped him.
They called out to the Lord.
And he answered them.
7He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud.
They obeyed his laws and the orders he gave them.
8Lord our God, you answered them.
You showed Israel that you are a God who forgives.
But when they did wrong, you punished them.
9Honor the Lord our God.
Worship at his holy mountain.
The Lord our God is holy.
