Psalmul 66
Pentru dirijor. O cântare. Un psalm.
1Strigați de bucurie către Dumnezeu, toți locuitorii pământului1 Lit.: tot pământul.!
2Cântați spre lauda slavei Numelui Său!
Faceți glorioasă cântarea Lui de laudă!
3Spuneți‑I lui Dumnezeu: „Cât de temut sunt lucrările Tale!“
Tăria Ta este atât de mare,
încât dușmanii Tăi dau înapoi în fața Ta.
4Tot pământul să Ți se închine
și să cânte spre lauda Ta,
să cânte spre lauda Numelui Tău! Selah
5Veniți și vedeți lucrările lui Dumnezeu,
înfăptuirile de temut pentru fiii omului.
6El a schimbat marea în uscat;
ei au traversat râul cu piciorul!
Acolo noi ne‑am bucurat în El!
7El stăpânește cu puterea Sa pe vecie;
ochii Săi supraveghează neamurile.
Fie ca răzvrătiții să nu se mai înalțe pe ei înșiși! Selah
8Popoare, binecuvântați‑L pe Dumnezeul nostru,
dați glas laudei Sale!
9El ne așază sufletul printre cei vii
și nu lasă să ni se clatine piciorul.
10Dumnezeule, Tu ne cercetezi
și ne purifici precum se purifică argintul.
11Ne‑ai făcut să intrăm în laț,
ne‑ai pus o povară pe coapse.
12Ai îngăduit omului să călărească pe capetele noastre;
am trecut prin foc și prin apă,
dar apoi ne‑ai condus spre abundență.
13De aceea voi veni la Casa Ta cu arderi‑de‑tot;
îmi voi împlini față de Tine jurămintele
14pe care buzele mele le‑au promis
și pe care gura mea le‑a spus când eram în necaz.
15Îți voi aduce, ca arderi‑de‑tot, animale îngrășate
alături de fumul berbecilor;
voi aduce tauri și țapi. Selah
16Veniți și ascultați, voi, toți cei ce vă temeți de Dumnezeu,
și vă voi povesti ce a făcut El pentru mine!
17Către El a strigat gura mea
și proslăvirea Lui a fost pe limba mea.
18Dacă aș fi văzut nelegiuire în inima mea,
nu m‑ar fi ascultat Stăpânul.
19Dar Dumnezeu cu‑adevărat m‑a ascultat,
a luat aminte la glasul rugăciunii mele.
20Binecuvântat să fie Dumnezeu
Care nu mi‑a respins rugăciunea
și nici nu Și‑a ascuns îndurarea față de mine!

2Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
3Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.66.3 submit…: or, yield feigned obedience: Heb. lie
4All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.
5Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.
6He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
7He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
8O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:
9Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.66.9 holdeth: Heb. putteth
10For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
11Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.
12Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.66.12 wealthy: Heb. moist
13I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
14Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.66.14 uttered: Heb. opened
15I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.66.15 fatlings: Heb. marrow
16Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
17I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
18If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
19But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
20Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
