Psalmul 29
Un psalm al lui David.
1Dați Domnului, fii ai lui Dumnezeu1 Sau: făpturi cerești; sau: îngeri.,
dați Domnului slava și puterea!
2Dați Domnului slava cuvenită Numelui Său!
Închinați‑vă Domnului cu podoabe sfinte2 Sau: în splendoarea sfințeniei. Termenul sfințenie se poate referi la Domnul Însuși, la Tabernacul sau la îmbrăcămintea preoțească (vezi Ps. 110:3).!
3Glasul Domnului răsună deasupra apelor.
Dumnezeul slavei face să bubuie tunetul;
Domnul este deasupra apelor mari.
4Glasul Domnului răsună cu putere,
glasul Domnului răsună cu măreție.
5Glasul Domnului doboară cedrii;
Domnul doboară cedrii Libanului.
6Îi face să sară ca un vițel;
Libanul și Sirionul6 Muntele Hermon. sar ca un pui de bivol sălbatic.
7Glasul Domnului despică prin scânteieri de foc.
8Glasul Domnului face să tremure pustia,
Domnul face să tremure pustia Kadeș.
9Glasul Domnului apleacă stejarii9 Sau: provoacă nașterea cerboaicelor.
și despoaie pădurile;
în Templul Său, toți strigă: „Slavă!“
10În timpul potopului, Domnul ședea pe tron;
Domnul va ședea pe tron ca împărat pe vecie.
11Domnul va da tărie poporului Său.
Domnul Își va binecuvânta poporul cu pace.

1Ascribe to the Lord, you heavenly beings,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
2Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to his name;
worship the Lord in the splendour of his29:2 Or Lord with the splendour of holiness.
3The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the Lord thunders over the mighty waters.
4The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is majestic.
5The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
6He makes Lebanon leap like a calf,
Sirion29:6 That is, Mount Hermon like a young wild ox.
7The voice of the Lord strikes
with flashes of lightning.
8The voice of the Lord shakes the desert;
the Lord shakes the Desert of Kadesh.
9The voice of the Lord twists the oaks29:9 Or Lord makes the deer give birth
and strips the forests bare.
And in his temple all cry, ‘Glory!’
10The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;
the Lord is enthroned as King for ever.
11The Lord gives strength to his people;
the Lord blesses his people with peace.
