Psalmul 24
Un psalm al lui David.
1Al Domnului este pământul cu tot ce este pe el,
lumea și locuitorii ei,
2căci El l‑a întemeiat pe mări
și l‑a întărit pe râuri.
3Cine se va urca pe muntele Domnului?
Cine se va ridica până la locul Lui cel sfânt?
4Cel cu mâinile nevinovate și cu inima curată,
care nu‑și dedă4 Lit.: nu‑și înalță. sufletul la minciună
și nu jură ca să înșele.4 Sau: care nu se închină unui idol / și nu jură pe ceea ce este fals.
5El va primi binecuvântare de la Domnul
și dreptate de la Dumnezeul mântuirii lui.
6Aceasta este generația celor ce‑L caută,
a celor ce caută fața Ta, Dumnezeu al lui Iacov! Selah
7Porți, ridicați‑vă capetele!
Stați ridicate, intrări veșnice!
Să intre Împăratul slavei!
8Cine este Acest Împărat al slavei?
Domnul cel tare și puternic,
Domnul cel puternic în luptă!
9Porți, ridicați‑vă capetele!
Stați ridicate, intrări veșnice!
Să intre Împăratul slavei!
10Cine este Acest Împărat al slavei?
Domnul Oștirilor10 Ebr.: YHWH Țebaot. Termenul ebraic pentru oștiri se poate referi: (1) la oștirile lui Israel (Ex. 7:4; Ps. 44:9); (2) la corpurile cerești (Gen. 2:1; Deut. 4:19; Is. 40:26); (3) la îngeri (Ios. 5:14; 1 Regi 22:19; Ps. 148:2). Acest titlu face referire, probabil, la suveranitatea lui Dumnezeu peste orice putere din univers [peste tot în Psalmi].!

Psalm 24
Of David. A psalm.
1The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;
2for he founded it on the seas
and established it on the waters.
3Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?
4The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not trust in an idol
or swear by a false god.24:4 Or swear falsely
5They will receive blessing from the Lord
and vindication from God their Saviour.
6Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face, God of Jacob.24:6 Two Hebrew manuscripts and Syriac (see also Septuagint); most Hebrew manuscripts face, Jacob24:6 The Hebrew has Selah (a word of uncertain meaning) here and at the end of verse 10.
7Lift up your heads, you gates;
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
8Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,
the Lord mighty in battle.
9Lift up your heads, you gates;
lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
10Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty –
he is the King of glory.
