Psalmul 110
Un psalm al lui DavidTitlu. Psalmul cel mai des citat în NT, cu referire clară la Isus Cristos (Mt. 22:43-45), fiind deci un psalm mesianic. În contextul său imediat, Ps. 110, ca și Ps. 2, era rostit la încoronarea unui nou rege din dinastia lui David..
1Domnul I‑a zis Stăpânului meu:1 Ebr.: YHWH i‑a zis lui Adoni. Acest vers este citat în Noul Testament (vezi Mt. 22:44; Mc. 12:36; Lc. 20:42; F.A. 2:34), fără a se folosi termeni grecești diferiți pentru Domnul: Kurios i‑a zis lui Kurios.
„Șezi la dreapta Mea
până‑i voi pune pe dușmanii Tăi
scăunaș1 Vezi nota de la 99:5. pentru picioarele Tale!
2Domnul va întinde toiagul puterii Tale din Sion.
Stăpânește în mijlocul dușmanilor Tăi!
3Cei din poporul Tău vor fi jertfe de bunăvoie,
în ziua tăriei3 Sau: armatei. Tale.
În podoabe sfinte,
din pântecul zorilor,
va veni la Tine roua tineretului Tău.“
4Domnul a jurat
și nu‑I va părea rău:
„Tu ești Preot pe veci,
după felul lui Melchisedek.
5Stăpânul este la dreapta Ta.
El va zdrobi regi în ziua mâniei Sale.
6El va judeca neamurile, va umple pământul de cadavre
și va zdrobi căpeteniile întregului pământ.
7El va bea dintr‑un ued7 Vezi nota de la 104:10. de lângă drum;
de aceea Își va înălța capul.“

1The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
2The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
