1Domnul i‑a vorbit lui Moise, zicând: 2„Spune‑le lui Aaron și fiilor săi să aibă respect față de lucrurile sfinte care‑Mi sunt închinate de către fiii lui Israel și să nu batjocorească astfel Numele Meu cel sfânt. Eu sunt Domnul.
3Să le spui: «De‑a lungul generațiilor voastre, dacă vreun bărbat din sămânța voastră se va apropia de lucrurile sfinte, pe care fiii lui Israel le închină Domnului, având pe el o necurăție, atunci sufletul acela să fie nimicit dinaintea Mea. Eu sunt Domnul.
4Niciun bărbat din sămânța lui Aaron, care va avea o rană infecțioasă4 Vezi nota de la 13:2. sau care va suferi de vreo scurgere, să nu mănânce din lucrurile sfinte până nu va fi curat. Oricine va atinge vreun lucru care a devenit necurat din cauza unui trup mort sau a unui bărbat care a avut o scurgere de sămânță, 5oricine va atinge vreun animal care mișună, prin care se poate ajunge necurat, sau vreun om prin care poate ajunge necurat, oricare ar fi necurăția lui, 6acela care va atinge un astfel de lucru va fi necurat până seara. Să nu mănânce din lucrurile sfinte până nu‑și va spăla trupul cu apă. 7La asfințitul soarelui va fi curat. După aceea va putea mânca din lucrurile sfinte, căci acestea sunt hrana sa. 8Să nu mănânce din cadavrul unui animal sau dintr‑un animal sfâșiat de fiare, ca să nu ajungă necurat. Eu sunt Domnul.
9Preoții să păzească îndatoririle față de Mine ca să nu se încarce cu păcat și să moară din cauză că le‑au necinstit. Eu sunt Domnul Care îi sfințesc9 Vezi nota de la 8:10..
10Niciun om care nu este preot să nu mănânce din lucrurile sfinte. Nici peregrinul și nici cel angajat de preot ca zilier să nu mănânce din lucrurile sfinte. 11Dar dacă preotul își va cumpăra un rob cu argintul său, acesta va putea să le mănânce. De asemenea, cei născuți în casa acestuia vor putea să mănânce din hrana lui. 12Dacă fiica unui preot se va căsători cu un bărbat care nu este preot, ea nu va putea mânca din contribuțiile sfinte. 13Dar fiica unui preot care a rămas văduvă sau care este divorțată neavând copii și care s‑a întors în casa tatălui ei ca în tinerețe, va putea să mănânce din hrana tatălui ei. Însă niciun om care nu este preot să nu o mănânce.
14Dacă un om va mânca din lucrurile sfinte fără să‑și dea seama, atunci el va trebui să dea preotului prețul lucrului sfânt și să adauge încă o cincime la el. 15Preoții să nu întineze lucrurile sfinte pe care fiii lui Israel le aduc Domnului, 16dându‑le voie acestora să mănânce din ele, fiindcă ar aduce asupra lor o nelegiuire de care s‑ar face vinovați. Căci Eu sunt Domnul Care îi sfințesc.»“
Jertfele să fie fără meteahnă
17Domnul i‑a vorbit lui Moise, zicând: 18„Vorbește‑le lui Aaron, fiilor săi și tuturor fiilor lui Israel și spune‑le: «Toți bărbații din Casa lui Israel sau dintre străinii din Israel care își vor aduce ofranda ca jertfă pentru împlinirea jurămintelor lor sau ca daruri de bunăvoie, pe care ei le aduc Domnului ca ardere‑de‑tot, 19să ia un mascul fără meteahnă dintre vite, oi sau capre, după cum doresc, și să‑l jertfească. 20Să nu aduceți nicio jertfă care are vreun cusur, pentru că nu va fi primită de la voi. 21Când cineva va aduce Domnului o jertfă de pace21 Vezi nota de la 3:1. pentru împlinirea unui jurământ deosebit sau ca dar de bunăvoie, din cireadă sau din turmă, aceasta să fie fără meteahnă pentru a fi primită. Să nu aibă niciun cusur. 22Cele oarbe, lovite, mutilate, cele care au vreo scurgere, eczeme sau râie să nu le jertfiți Domnului și să nu le puneți pe altar ca jertfe mistuite de foc pentru Domnul. 23Pentru un dar de bunăvoie veți putea aduce un bou23 Putea fi atât mascul, cât și femelă. sau un miel care au un mădular mai lung sau mai scurt, însă ca jertfă pentru împlinirea unui jurământ, el nu va fi primit. 24Orice animal care are vreo parte lovită, zdrobită, sfâșiată sau tăiată să nu‑l jertfiți Domnului. Să nu aduceți asemenea jertfe în țara voastră 25și să nu primiți vreun astfel de animal de la un străin pentru a‑l aduce ca hrană Dumnezeului vostru. Fiindcă sunt mutilate și au cusur, ele nu vor fi primite de la voi.»“
26Domnul i‑a vorbit lui Moise, zicând: 27„Când se naște un vițel, un miel sau un ied, aceștia trebuie să rămână șapte zile cu mama lor, după care, începând cu ziua a opta, pot fi primiți ca jertfă mistuită de foc pentru Domnul. 28Vaca, oaia sau capra să nu le înjunghiați în aceeași zi cu fătul lor.
29Când veți aduce o jertfă de mulțumire pentru Domnul, să o jertfiți în așa fel încât să fie primită de la voi. 30Să fie mâncată în aceeași zi; să nu lăsați nimic din ea până dimineață. Eu sunt Domnul.
31Să păziți poruncile Mele și să le împliniți. Eu sunt Domnul. 32Să nu batjocoriți Numele Meu cel sfânt, ca să fiu sfințit în mijlocul fiilor lui Israel. Eu sunt Domnul Care vă sfințesc, 33Eu, Cel Care v‑am scos din țara Egiptului ca să fiu Dumnezeul vostru: Eu sunt Domnul.“
1And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they profane not my holy name in those things which they hallow unto me: I am the LORD. 3Say unto them, Whosoever he be of all your seed among your generations, that goeth unto the holy things, which the children of Israel hallow unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from my presence: I am the LORD. 4What man soever of the seed of Aaron is a leper, or hath a running issue; he shall not eat of the holy things, until he be clean. And whoso toucheth any thing that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose seed goeth from him;22.4 running…: Heb. running of the reins 5Or whosoever toucheth any creeping thing, whereby he may be made unclean, or a man of whom he may take uncleanness, whatsoever uncleanness he hath; 6The soul which hath touched any such shall be unclean until even, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he wash his flesh with water. 7And when the sun is down, he shall be clean, and shall afterward eat of the holy things; because it is his food. 8That which dieth of itself, or is torn with beasts, he shall not eat to defile himself therewith: I am the LORD. 9They shall therefore keep mine ordinance, lest they bear sin for it, and die therefore, if they profane it: I the LORD do sanctify them.
10There shall no stranger eat of the holy thing: a sojourner of the priest, or an hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing. 11But if the priest buy any soul with his money, he shall eat of it, and he that is born in his house: they shall eat of his meat.22.11 with…: Heb. with the purchase of his money 12If the priest’s daughter also be married unto a stranger, she may not eat of an offering of the holy things.22.12 a stranger: Heb. a man a stranger 13But if the priest’s daughter be a widow, or divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father’s house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s meat: but there shall no stranger eat thereof.
14¶ And if a man eat of the holy thing unwittingly, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give it unto the priest with the holy thing. 15And they shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer unto the LORD; 16Or suffer them to bear the iniquity of trespass, when they eat their holy things: for I the LORD do sanctify them.22.16 suffer…: or, lade themselves with the iniquity of trespass in their eating
17¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 18Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whatsoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his oblation for all his vows, and for all his freewill offerings, which they will offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering; 19Ye shall offer at your own will a male without blemish, of the beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats. 20But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you. 21And whosoever offereth a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD to accomplish his vow, or a freewill offering in beeves or sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein.22.21 sheep: or, goats 22Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto the LORD, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto the LORD. 23Either a bullock or a lamb that hath any thing superfluous or lacking in his parts, that mayest thou offer for a freewill offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted.22.23 lamb: or, kid 24Ye shall not offer unto the LORD that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall ye make any offering thereof in your land. 25Neither from a stranger’s hand shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, and blemishes be in them: they shall not be accepted for you.
26¶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 27When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for an offering made by fire unto the LORD. 28And whether it be cow or ewe, ye shall not kill it and her young both in one day.22.28 ewe: or, she goat 29And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the LORD, offer it at your own will. 30On the same day it shall be eaten up; ye shall leave none of it until the morrow: I am the LORD. 31Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the LORD. 32Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you, 33That brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD.
