1Domnul i‑a vorbit lui Moise, zicând: 2„Să le spui fiilor lui Israel: «Dacă vreun om dintre fiii lui Israel sau dintre străinii care locuiesc în Israel va da lui Moleh2-5 Vezi nota de la 18:21. pe unul din copiii săi, să fie pedepsit cu moartea. 9Dacă un om oarecare își va blestema tatăl sau mama să fie pedepsit cu moartea. Și‑a blestemat tatăl sau mama; sângele lui să fie asupra lui.
10Dacă un bărbat a comis adulter cu soția unui bărbat, dacă a comis adulter cu soția semenului său, atât cel care a comis adulter, cât și cea care a comis adulter trebuie să fie omorâți.

21Dacă un bărbat o va lua pe soția fratelui său21 În situația în care nu se aplică legea leviratului (Deut. 25:5-6), adică fratele trăiește sau a murit după ce a lăsat urmași., lucrul acesta este o necurăție, căci a descoperit goliciunea fratelui său; nu vor avea copii.
22Să păziți toate hotărârile Mele și toate poruncile Mele să le împliniți, pentru ca țara în care vă voi așeza să nu vă verse. 23Să nu urmați obiceiurile neamurilor pe care le voi izgoni dinaintea voastră, căci ele au făcut toate aceste lucruri și Mi‑e scârbă de ele. 24Vouă însă v‑am promis că veți moșteni țara lor. Eu Însumi vă voi da în stăpânire o țară în care curge lapte și miere. Eu sunt Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, Care v‑am separat de celelalte popoare.
25De aceea să faceți deosebire între un animal curat și unul necurat, între o pasăre necurată și una curată, ca să nu vă pângăriți prin animalele, păsările sau vreo vietate care se târăște pe pământ, pe care le‑am deosebit pentru voi ca fiind necurate. 26Voi să‑Mi fiți sfinți, pentru că Eu, Domnul, sunt sfânt; Eu v‑am separat de celelalte popoare ca să fiți ai Mei.
27Dacă este printre voi vreun bărbat sau vreo femeie care întreabă duhurile morților sau care cheamă spiritele27 Vezi nota de la 19:31 și expresia completă în Deut. 18:11., trebuie să fie omorâți. Să fie uciși cu pietre, iar sângele lor să cadă asupra lor.»“

6¶ And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
7¶ Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God. 8And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.
9¶ For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

22¶ Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out. 23And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them. 24But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people. 25Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.20.25 creepeth: or, moveth 26And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.
27¶ A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.
