O cântare despre via Domnului
1Voi cânta Preaiubitului meu
o cântare despre via Lui:
Iubitul meu avea o vie
pe un deal fertil.
2A săpat‑o, a curățat‑o de pietre
și a sădit în ea cele mai alese vițe.
I‑a zidit un turn de pază
și i‑a săpat un teasc.
Apoi a așteptat să facă struguri buni,
dar ea a făcut struguri sălbatici2, 4 Lit.: urât mirositori (stricați). Sau acri..
3„Acum, voi, locuitori ai Ierusalimului și bărbați ai lui Iuda,
judecați, vă rog, între Mine și via Mea.
4Ce‑ar fi trebuit să mai fac viei Mele
și nu i‑am făcut?
De ce a făcut struguri sălbatici
când Eu Mă așteptam să facă struguri buni?
5Acum vă voi spune
ce voi face cu via Mea:
îi voi îndepărta gardul,
și ea va fi lăsată pentru pășune;
îi voi dărâma zidul,
și ea va fi călcată‑n picioare.
6O voi preface într‑o pustie;
nu va mai fi curățată, nici săpată,
iar în ea vor crește mărăcini și spini.
De asemenea, voi porunci norilor
să nu mai dea ploaie peste ea.“
7Via Domnului Oștirilor
este Casa lui Israel,
iar bărbații lui Iuda
sunt grădina desfătării Sale.
El Se aștepta la judecată dreaptă,
și iată că are loc vărsare de sânge;
Se aștepta la dreptate,
dar iată că se aude strigăt de durere.
Păcatul lui Iuda și condamnarea lui
8Vai de voi, cei ce înșirați casă după casă
și uniți ogor lângă ogor
până nu mai rămâne loc
și trăiți singuri în țară!
9Domnul Oștirilor a jurat în auzul meu:
„Cu siguranță, multe case vor fi pustiite,
case mari și frumoase, în care nu va mai sta nimeni.
10O vie de zece iugăre10 Aproximativ 5 ha, terenul arat într‑o zi de zece perechi de boi. va da doar un bat10 Aproximativ 22 l.,
un homer10 Aproximativ 220 l. de sămânță nu va da decât o efă10 Aproximativ 22 l..“
11Vai de cei ce se scoală dis‑de‑dimineață
ca să alerge după băutură
și vai de cei ce stau până noaptea târziu,
ca să se înfierbânte de vin!
12Ei au liră și harfă,
tamburină, flaut și vin la ospețele lor,
dar nu iau seama de faptele Domnului
și nu văd lucrarea mâinilor Sale!
13Și astfel, poporul meu va merge în captivitate
din lipsă de cunoștință.
Conducătorii13 Lit.: gloria. lui vor ajunge oameni ai foametei,
iar mulțimea lui se va usca de sete.
14De aceea Locuința Morților14 Ebr.: Șeol [peste tot în carte]. și‑a mărit pofta
și și‑a deschis gura peste măsură.
În ea vor coborî nobilii14 Lit.: măreția, termenul ebraic fiind sinonim cu cel din v. 13, dar făcând referire tot la conducătorii lui Iuda. lui Iuda și mulțimea lui,
precum și cei ce petrec și se veselesc în ea.
15Omul va fi trântit, fiecare va fi umilit,
iar privirile trufașe vor fi smerite.
16Dar Domnul Oștirilor va fi înălțat prin judecată;
Dumnezeul cel Sfânt Se va arăta sfânt prin dreptate.
17Atunci mieii vor paște ca pe pășunea lor,
vor mânca printre dărâmăturile bogaților.
18Vai de cei ce trag nelegiuirea cu funiile deșertăciunii
și păcatul – cum ar trage frânghiile de la car!
19Vai de cei ce zic: „Să se grăbească,
să‑Și facă repede lucrarea
ca s‑o vedem!
Să se împlinească planul Sfântului lui Israel,
ca noi să‑l cunoaștem!“
20Vai de cei ce numesc răul bine,
și binele rău,
întunericul lumină,
și lumina întuneric,
amărăciunea dulceață,
și dulceața amărăciune!
21Vai de cei ce se cred înțelepți
și de cei ce se consideră isteți!
22Vai de cei ce sunt viteji la băut vin
și curajoși la amestecat băuturi tari,
23care, pentru mită, îl achită pe cel rău,
și‑i lipsesc de dreptate pe cei drepți!
24De aceea, așa cum limba focului mistuie miriștea
și așa cum iarba uscată piere în flăcări,
tot așa le va putrezi și lor rădăcina,
iar floarea li se va risipi ca țărâna,
pentru că au respins Legea Domnului Oștirilor
și au disprețuit Cuvântul Sfântului lui Israel.
25De aceea mânia Domnului se aprinde împotriva poporului Său.
El Își ridică mâna împotriva lor și‑i doboară.
Munții se clatină,
și cadavrele sunt precum gunoiul pe drumuri.
Cu toate acestea, mânia Lui nu s‑a potolit,
iar mâna Sa este încă întinsă.
26El ridică un steag pentru neamurile de departe
și le fluieră de la marginea pământului.
Și iată‑le că vin iute și ușor.
27Niciunul nu este obosit și nici nu se împiedică27 Sau: nu se clatină.;
niciunul nu ațipește și nici nu doarme.
Nicio cingătoare nu este desfăcută de la coapsele lor
și nicio curea de la sandalele lor nu este ruptă.
28Săgețile lor sunt ascuțite,
toate arcurile lor sunt încordate.
Copitele cailor lor sunt ca de cremene,
și roțile carelor lor sunt ca vijelia.
29Urletul lor este ca al unui leu;
urlă ca niște lei tineri.
Răcnesc și înșfacă prada
pe care o iau cu ei și nimeni n‑o mai poate scăpa.
30În ziua aceea, neamurile vor răcni asupra lui,
ca răcnetul mării.
Dacă cineva se va uita către țară,
va vedea numai întuneric și necaz;
chiar și lumina va fi ascunsă între nori.
