Îngerii cu ultimele șapte urgii
1Am văzut în cer un alt semn mare și minunat: erau șapte îngeri, având ultimele șapte urgii, întrucât cu ele ia sfârșit furia lui Dumnezeu. 2Am văzut ceva ca o mare de sticlă amestecată cu foc și pe cei ce au învins fiara, chipul ei și numărul numelui ei, stând lângă marea de sticlă, cu kitharele2 Vezi notele de la 5:8 și 14:2. lui Dumnezeu.
3Ei cântau cântarea lui Moise, robul lui Dumnezeu, și cântarea Mielului, zicând:
„Mari și minunate sunt lucrările Tale,
Doamne Dumnezeule, Cel Atotputernic!
Drepte și adevărate sunt căile Tale,
Împărate al neamurilor!
4Cine nu se va teme, Doamne,
și nu va slăvi Numele Tău?!
Fiindcă numai Tu ești sfânt,
fiindcă toate neamurile vor veni
și se vor închina înaintea Ta,
fiindcă faptele Tale drepte au fost descoperite!“
5După acestea, m‑am uitat și, în cer, a fost deschis Templul, Cortul Mărturiei.5 Sau: Templul Cortului Mărturiei. 6Și din Templu au ieșit șapte îngeri care aveau șapte urgii, îmbrăcați în haine de in curat, strălucitor și fiind încinși împrejurul pieptului cu brâie de aur. 7Una dintre cele patru ființe vii le‑a dat celor șapte îngeri șapte vase de aur, pline cu furia Dumnezeului Care este viu în vecii vecilor. 8Templul s‑a umplut de fum din slava lui Dumnezeu și din puterea Sa. Nimeni nu putea să intre în Templu, până când nu se vor fi sfârșit cele șapte urgii ale celor șapte îngeri.
1And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. 2And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. 3And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. 4Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest. 5And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: 6And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. 7And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. 8And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.
