Левитски градови
1Затим главари левитских родова дођоше свештенику Елеазару, Исусу, сину Навиновом, и главарима родова израиљских племена, 2па им рекоше у Силому, у земљи хананској: „Господ је заповедио преко Мојсија да нам се дају градови где ћемо живети и пашњаци око њих за нашу стоку.“
3Израиљци су, по речи Господњој, дали Левитима, од свога наследства, ове градове с њиховим пашњацима.
4Први жреб је изашао за породице Ката. Левитима, потомцима свештеника Арона, жребом је припало тринаест градова, од Јудиног, Симеуновог и Венијаминовог племена.
5А остатку синова Катових, жребом је припало десет градова од породица Јефремовог и Дановог племена, и од половине Манасијиног племена.
6Синовима Гирсоновим жребом је припало тринаест градова од породица Исахаровог, Асировог и Нефталимовог племена, и од половине Манасијиног племена у Васану.
7Синовима Мераријевим по њиховим породицама припало је дванаест градова од племена Рувимовог, Гадовог и Завулоновог.
8Тако су Израиљци жребом доделили Левитима те градове са њиховим пашњацима, као што је Господ заповедио преко Мојсија.
Градови синова Катових
9Ови градови од племена синова Јудиних и од племена синова Симеунових, који се наводе по именима, били су дати 10синовима Ароновим, Левитима из породице Ката, јер је први жреб пао на њих.
11Дали су им: Киријат-Арву, то јест, Хеврон, у Јудиној гори са околним пашњацима (Арва је био праотац Енаковаца). 12Али, поља и села око града, била су већ дана у власништво Халеву, сину Јефонијину. 13Дакле, синовима свештеника Арона дали су Хеврон са пашњацима, да буде град-уточиште за оног ко почини убиство, Ливну са пашњацима, 14Јатир с пашњацима, Естемоју са пашњацима, 15Олон с пашњацима, Давир с пашњацима, 16Ајин с пашњацима, Јуту с пашњацима, Вет-Семес с пашњацима – девет градова од она два племена.
17Од Венијаминовог племена: Гаваон са пашњацима, Гаваја с пашњацима, 18Анатот с пашњацима, и Алмон с пашњацима – четири града.
19Тако је свештеницима, синовима Ароновим, припало све укупно тринаест градова са својим пашњацима.
20Преосталим породицама синова Катових, Левитима који воде порекло од Ката, жребом су били додељени градови Јефремовог племена.
21Дали су им Сихем с пашњацима у Јефремовој гори, да буде град-уточиште за оног ко почини убиство, и Гезер с пашњацима, 22Кивсајим с пашњацима, Вет-Орон с пашњацима – четири града.
23Од Дановог племена: Елтекон с пашњацима, Гиветон с пашњацима, 24Ајалон с пашњацима, и Гат-Римон с пашњацима – четири града.
25Од половине Манасијиног племена: Танах с пашњацима и Гат-Римон21,25 Или: Ивлеам, према Септуагинти и свим верзијама паралелног текста. с пашњацима – два града.
26У свему: десет градова са њиховим пашњацима за преостале синове Катове.
Градови синова Гирсонових
27Левитским породицама синова Гирсонових је припао:
од половине племена Манасијина град-уточиште Голан у Васану с пашњацима, за оног ко почини убиство, и Вестера21,27 Град Астарот, према Ис Нав 12,4; 13,31. с пашњацима – два града.
28Од Исахаровог племена: Кисон с пашњацима, Даврат с пашњацима, 29Јармут с пашњацима и Ен-Ганим с пашњацима – четири града.
30Од Асировог племена: Мисал с пашњацима, Авдон с пашњацима, 31Хелкат с пашњацима и Реов с пашњацима – четири града.
32Од Нефталимовог племена: град-уточиште Кедес у Галилеји с пашњацима, за оног ко почини убиство, Амот-Дор с пашњацима, Картан с пашњацима – три града.
33Свих градова Гирсоноваца по њиховим породицама било је тринаест градова са њиховим пашњацима.
Градови синова Мераријевих
34А остатку Левита, породицама синова Мераријевих,
припали су од Завулоновог племена:
Јокнеам с пашњацима, Карта с пашњацима, 35Димна с пашњацима, и Налал с пашњацима – четири града.
36Од Рувимовог племена:
Восор с пашњацима, Јаса с пашњацима, 37Кедемот с пашњацима, и Мифат с пашњацима – четири града.
38Од Гадовог племена:
град-уточиште Рамот у Галаду с пашњацима, за оног ко почини убиство, Маханајим с пашњацима, 39Есевон с пашњацима, и Јазир с пашњацима – укупно четири града.
40Свих градова синова Мераријевих по својим породицама, од преосталих Левита, који су им жребом додељени, било је дванаест.
41Свих левитских градова усред поседа Израиљаца било је четрдесет осам градова с њиховим пашњацима. 42Сваки од ових градова имао је околне пашњаке; тако је било са свим овим градовима.
43Господ је дао Израиљу целу земљу за коју се заклео њиховим оцима. Они су је освојили и настанили се у њој. 44Господ им је дао да отпочину свуда унаоколо, баш како се заклео њиховим оцима. Нико од њихових непријатеља није могао да им се одупре. Господ им је предао у руке све њихове непријатеље. 45Од свих добрих обећања које је Господ дао дому Израиљеву, ниједно није остало неиспуњено. Свако се испунило.
1Then came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel; 2And they spake unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle. 3And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, at the commandment of the LORD, these cities and their suburbs. 4And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron the priest, which were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities. 5And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities. 6And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities. 7The children of Merari by their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities. 8And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with their suburbs, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
9¶ And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are here mentioned by name,21.9 mentioned: Heb. called 10Which the children of Aaron, being of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi, had: for theirs was the first lot. 11And they gave them the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron, in the hill country of Judah, with the suburbs thereof round about it.21.11 the city…: or, Kirjath-arba 12But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.
13¶ Thus they gave to the children of Aaron the priest Hebron with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Libnah with her suburbs, 14And Jattir with her suburbs, and Eshtemoa with her suburbs, 15And Holon with her suburbs, and Debir with her suburbs,21.15 Holon: also called, Hilen 16And Ain with her suburbs, and Juttah with her suburbs, and Beth-shemesh with her suburbs; nine cities out of those two tribes.21.16 Ain: also called, Ashan 17And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with her suburbs, Geba with her suburbs,21.17 Geba: also called, Gaba 18Anathoth with her suburbs, and Almon with her suburbs; four cities.21.18 Almon: also called, Alemeth 19All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with their suburbs.
20¶ And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites which remained of the children of Kohath, even they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim. 21For they gave them Shechem with her suburbs in mount Ephraim, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Gezer with her suburbs, 22And Kibzaim with her suburbs, and Beth-horon with her suburbs; four cities. 23And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh with her suburbs, Gibbethon with her suburbs, 24Aijalon with her suburbs, Gath-rimmon with her suburbs; four cities. 25And out of the half tribe of Manasseh, Tanach with her suburbs, and Gath-rimmon with her suburbs; two cities. 26All the cities were ten with their suburbs for the families of the children of Kohath that remained.
27¶ And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the other half tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Beesh-terah with her suburbs; two cities. 28And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon with her suburbs, Dabareh with her suburbs, 29Jarmuth with her suburbs, En-gannim with her suburbs; four cities. 30And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with her suburbs, Abdon with her suburbs, 31Helkath with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbs; four cities. 32And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Hammoth-dor with her suburbs, and Kartan with her suburbs; three cities. 33All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with their suburbs.
34¶ And unto the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with her suburbs, and Kartah with her suburbs, 35Dimnah with her suburbs, Nahalal with her suburbs; four cities. 36And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with her suburbs, and Jahazah with her suburbs, 37Kedemoth with her suburbs, and Mephaath with her suburbs; four cities. 38And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Mahanaim with her suburbs, 39Heshbon with her suburbs, Jazer with her suburbs; four cities in all. 40So all the cities for the children of Merari by their families, which were remaining of the families of the Levites, were by their lot twelve cities. 41All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel were forty and eight cities with their suburbs. 42These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them: thus were all these cities.
43¶ And the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein. 44And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand. 45There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.
