1Псалом Давида, когда он притворялся безумным перед Авимелехом, был изгнан от него и удалился33:1 См. 1 Цар. 21:10–22:1..
2Восславлю Господа во всякое время,
хвала Ему всегда на устах моих.
3Душа моя будет хвалиться Господом;
пусть услышат кроткие и возвеселятся.
4Славьте со мною Господа;
превознесем Его имя вместе!
5Я искал Господа, и Он мне ответил
и от всех моих страхов меня избавил.
6Кто обращал к Нему взор, сияет от радости,
лица их не покроет стыд.
7Этот бедняк воззвал, и Господь услышал его,
и от всех напастей его избавил.
8Ангел Господень33:8 Ангел Господень – этот особенный Ангел отождествляется с Самим Господом. Многие толкователи видят в Нем явления Иисуса Христа до Его воплощения. То же в 35:5, 6. ополчается вокруг тех,
кто боится Господа, и избавляет их.
9Вкусите и увидите, как благ Господь!
Благословен тот, кто ищет прибежища у Него.
10Бойтесь Господа, святые Его,
ведь кто боится Его, ни в чем не нуждается.
11Молодые львы бедствуют и голодают,
а ищущие Господа не имеют нужды ни в каком благе.
12Придите, дети, послушайте меня,
я научу вас страху Господню.
13Кто любит жизнь
и желает видеть добрые дни,
14тот удерживай свой язык от зла
и свои уста от коварных речей.
15Удаляйся от зла и твори добро;
ищи мира и стремись к нему.
16Глаза Господни на праведных,
и уши Его открыты для их молитвы,
17но лицо Господне против тех, кто делает зло,
чтобы память о них на земле истребить.
18Взывают праведные, и Господь их слышит
и от всех скорбей их избавляет.
19Близок Господь к сокрушенным сердцем
и спасает павшего духом.
20Много скорбей у праведного,
но от всех их избавляет его Господь.
21Он все кости его хранит,
ни одна из них не будет переломлена33:21 См. Ин. 19:32, 33, 36..
22Погубит грешника зло;
ненавидящие праведного будут осуждены.
23Господь спасает жизнь Своих слуг;
и никто из ищущих у Него прибежища
не будет осужден.
Psalm 33
1Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous;
it is fitting for the upright to praise him.
2Praise the Lord with the harp;
make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
3Sing to him a new song;
play skilfully, and shout for joy.
4For the word of the Lord is right and true;
he is faithful in all he does.
5The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of his unfailing love.
6By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
7He gathers the waters of the sea into jars33:7 Or sea as into a heap;
he puts the deep into storehouses.
8Let all the earth fear the Lord;
let all the people of the world revere him.
9For he spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood firm.
10The Lord foils the plans of the nations;
he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
11But the plans of the Lord stand firm for ever,
the purposes of his heart through all generations.
12Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people he chose for his inheritance.
13From heaven the Lord looks down
and sees all mankind;
14from his dwelling-place he watches
all who live on earth –
15he who forms the hearts of all,
who considers everything they do.
16No king is saved by the size of his army;
no warrior escapes by his great strength.
17A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
despite all its great strength it cannot save.
18But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
19to deliver them from death
and keep them alive in famine.
20We wait in hope for the Lord;
he is our help and our shield.
21In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.
22May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you.
