Psalm 28
Of David.
1To you, Lord, I call;
you are my Rock,
do not turn a deaf ear to me.
For if you remain silent,
I shall be like those who go down to the pit.
2Hear my cry for mercy
as I call to you for help,
as I lift up my hands
towards your Most Holy Place.
3Do not drag me away with the wicked,
with those who do evil,
who speak cordially with their neighbours
but harbour malice in their hearts.
4Repay them for their deeds
and for their evil work;
repay them for what their hands have done
and bring back on them what they deserve.
5Because they have no regard for the deeds of the Lord
and what his hands have done,
he will tear them down
and never build them up again.
6Praise be to the Lord,
for he has heard my cry for mercy.
7The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him.
8The Lord is the strength of his people,
a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.
9Save your people and bless your inheritance;
be their shepherd and carry them for ever.

Al lui David
1Doamne, către Tine strig!
Stânca mea, nu rămâne surd față de mine,
ca nu cumva, tăcând față de mine,
să mă asemăn cu cei care se coboară în groapă!
2Ascultă glasul cererilor mele,
atunci când strig către Tine după ajutor,
atunci când îmi ridic mâinile
spre Locul Tău Preasfânt!
3Nu mă lua împreună cu cei răi
și cu cei ce săvârșesc nelegiuirea,
cu cei ce vorbesc de pace semenului lor,
dar în inima lor este răutate.
4Dă‑le după lucrarea lor,
după răutatea faptelor lor.
Dă‑le după lucrarea mâinilor lor!
Întoarce asupra lor răsplata cuvenită!
5Pentru că ei nu iau aminte la lucrările Domnului
și la lucrarea mâinilor Lui,
El îi va dărâma
și nu‑i va mai zidi!
6Binecuvântat să fie Domnul,
căci a ascultat glasul cererilor mele!
7Domnul este tăria mea și scutul meu!
În El s‑a încrezut inima mea și am fost ajutat.
De aceea inima mea tresaltă de bucurie
și‑I aduc mulțumiri prin cântarea mea!
8Domnul este tăria poporului Său!
El este un refugiu al izbăvirii pentru unsul Său.
9Mântuiește‑Ți poporul!
Binecuvântează‑Ți moștenirea!
Păstorește‑i și sprijină‑i pe vecie!
