28‘The rest of the people – priests, Levites, gatekeepers, musicians, temple servants and all who separated themselves from the neighbouring peoples for the sake of the Law of God, together with their wives and all their sons and daughters who are able to understand – 29all these now join their fellow Israelites the nobles, and bind themselves with a curse and an oath to follow the Law of God given through Moses the servant of God and to obey carefully all the commands, regulations and decrees of the Lord our Lord.
30‘We promise not to give our daughters in marriage to the peoples around us or take their daughters for our sons.
31‘When the neighbouring peoples bring merchandise or grain to sell on the Sabbath, we will not buy from them on the Sabbath or on any holy day. Every seventh year we will forgo working the land and will cancel all debts.
32‘We assume the responsibility for carrying out the commands to give a third of a shekel10:32 That is, about 4 grams each year for the service of the house of our God: 33for the bread set out on the table; for the regular grain offerings and burnt offerings; for the offerings on the Sabbaths, at the New Moon feasts and at the appointed festivals; for the holy offerings; for sin offerings10:33 Or purification offerings to make atonement for Israel; and for all the duties of the house of our God.
34‘We – the priests, the Levites and the people – have cast lots to determine when each of our families is to bring to the house of our God at set times each year a contribution of wood to burn on the altar of the Lord our God, as it is written in the Law.
35‘We also assume responsibility for bringing to the house of the Lord each year the firstfruits of our crops and of every fruit tree.
36‘As it is also written in the Law, we will bring the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, of our herds and of our flocks to the house of our God, to the priests ministering there.
37‘Moreover, we will bring to the storerooms of the house of our God, to the priests, the first of our ground meal, of our grain offerings, of the fruit of all our trees and of our new wine and olive oil. And we will bring a tithe of our crops to the Levites, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all the towns where we work. 38A priest descended from Aaron is to accompany the Levites when they receive the tithes, and the Levites are to bring a tenth of the tithes up to the house of our God, to the storerooms of the treasury. 39The people of Israel, including the Levites, are to bring their contributions of grain, new wine and olive oil to the storerooms, where the articles for the sanctuary and for the ministering priests, the gatekeepers and the musicians are also kept.

約的內容
28其餘的民眾、祭司、利未人、殿門守衛、歌樂手、殿役和所有與外族人隔離以便遵從上帝律法的人，以及他們的妻子和兒女等所有能夠明白的人， 29都跟隨他們的貴族同胞起誓要謹遵上帝藉祂僕人摩西頒佈的律法，遵守我們的主耶和華的一切誡命、典章和律例。 30我們不將女兒嫁給當地的人，也不為兒子娶當地的女子。 31如果這地方的居民在安息日或其他聖日帶來貨物和五穀要賣給我們，我們必不購買。我們每逢第七年必不耕種，也必不追討債務。
32我們為自己定下律例，每人每年捐獻四克銀子，供我們上帝的殿使用， 33以支付供餅、日常獻的素祭和燔祭，安息日、朔日10·33 「朔日」即每月初一。和其他節期所獻的聖物，為以色列人獻上的贖罪祭，以及我們上帝殿中的各項費用。 34我們的祭司、利未人和民眾抽籤，決定每年哪一族要在指定的時間把獻祭時所需用的木材帶到我們上帝的殿裡，按照律法的規定燒在我們的上帝耶和華的壇上。 35我們把每年地裡初熟的物產和各種樹上初熟的果子獻到耶和華的殿裡。 36我們按照律法的規定獻上我們的長子和頭胎的牛羊，把他們帶到我們上帝的殿中，交給在那裡供職的祭司。 37我們把上好的麵團、舉祭、各樣果子、新酒和新油交給祭司，收進我們上帝殿的庫房裡，並把我們地裡收成的十分之一交給利未人，這是他們在我們所有城邑的出產中當收取的份。 38利未人收取十分之一的時候，要有亞倫子孫中的一位祭司陪同，利未人要從這十分之一中抽出十分之一帶到我們上帝的殿中，收進庫房裡。 39以色列人和利未人要將這些五穀、新酒和新油作為舉祭帶到收藏聖所器皿的地方，即供職的祭司、殿門守衛和歌樂手所住的房子。這樣，我們便不會忽略我們上帝的殿。
