The end times
1‘At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people – everyone whose name is found written in the book – will be delivered. 2Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. 3Those who are wise12:3 Or who impart wisdom will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. 4But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.’
5Then I, Daniel, looked, and there before me stood two others, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank. 6One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, ‘How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?’
7The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand towards heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives for ever, saying, ‘It will be for a time, times and half a time.12:7 Or a year, two years and half a year When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.’
8I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, ‘My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?’
9He replied, ‘Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. 10Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
11‘From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. 12Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.
13‘As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.’
마지막 때에 관한 예언
1“12:1 원문에는 ‘그 때에’마지막 때에 네 백성을 지키는 미가엘 천사가 나타날 것이며 인류 역 사상 최대의 환난이 있을 것이다. 그 때가 오면 네 민족 가운데 12:1 또는 ‘책에’하나님의 책에 이름이 기록된 자들은 다 구원을 받을 것이다.
2이미 죽어서 땅 속에 묻혀 있는 수많은 사람들이 부활할 것이며 그 가운데는 영원한 생명을 누리는 자도 있고 영원히 부끄러움을 당하는 자도 있을 것이다.
3지혜로운 자들은 하늘의 빛과 같이 빛날 것이며 많은 사람을 옳은 길로 인도한 자들은 별처럼 영원히 빛날 것이다.
4“다니엘아, 너는 이 예언을 책에 기록하여 인을 쳐서 봉하고 마지막 때까지 잘 간수하여라. 그 때에는 12:4 또는 ‘많은 사람이 빨리 왕래하며 지식이 더하리라’많은 사람이 지식을 쌓으려고 이리저리 왔다갔다할 것이다.”
5그때 나 다니엘이 눈을 들어 보니 다른 두 천사가 강변에 서 있었다. 하나는 이쪽 강변에 서 있었고 다른 하나는 저쪽 강변에 서 있었다.
6그들 중 하나가 가는 모시 옷을 입고 강물 위에 있는 천사에게 이 놀라운 일이 언제 이루어질 것이냐고 묻자
7모시 옷을 입고 강물 위에 있는 천사가 하늘을 향해 두 손을 들고 영원히 사시는 하나님의 이름으로 맹세하며 이렇게 대답하였다. “3년 반을 지나 성도들의 권세가 다 깨어진 후에 이 모든 일이 이루어질 것이다.”
8내가 그 말을 듣고도 이해할 수가 없어서 “내 주여, 이 모든 일의 결과가 어떻게 되겠습니까?” 하고 묻자
9그는 이렇게 대답하였다. “다니엘아, 이제 가거라. 이 말은 마지막 때까지 비밀로 간직해 두어야 한다.
1012:10 암시됨.시련과 박해를 통해서 많은 사람이 연단을 받아 정결하게 될 것이나 악한 사람은 계속 악을 행할 것이다. 악한 자는 아무것도 깨닫지 못할 것이며 오직 지혜로운 자만 깨달을 것이다.
11“매일 드리는 제사를 폐지하며 멸망케 하는 흉측한 것을 세울 때부터 1,290일을 지나
121,335일까지 참고 견디는 사람은 복이 있을 것이다.
13“다니엘아, 너는 끝까지 충실하여라. 너는 죽어 평안히 쉬다가 마지막 때에 부활하여 네 상을 받을 것이다.”
