Psalm 65In Hebrew texts 65:1-13 is numbered 65:2-14.
For the director of music. A psalm of David. A song.
1Praise awaits65:1 Or befits; the meaning of the Hebrew for this word is uncertain. you, our God, in Zion;
to you our vows will be fulfilled.
2You who answer prayer,
to you all people will come.
3When we were overwhelmed by sins,
you forgave65:3 Or made atonement for our transgressions.
4Blessed are those you choose
and bring near to live in your courts!
We are filled with the good things of your house,
of your holy temple.
5You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds,
God our Savior,
the hope of all the ends of the earth
and of the farthest seas,
6who formed the mountains by your power,
having armed yourself with strength,
7who stilled the roaring of the seas,
the roaring of their waves,
and the turmoil of the nations.
8The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders;
where morning dawns, where evening fades,
you call forth songs of joy.
9You care for the land and water it;
you enrich it abundantly.
The streams of God are filled with water
to provide the people with grain,
for so you have ordained it.65:9 Or for that is how you prepare the land
10You drench its furrows and level its ridges;
you soften it with showers and bless its crops.
11You crown the year with your bounty,
and your carts overflow with abundance.
12The grasslands of the wilderness overflow;
the hills are clothed with gladness.
13The meadows are covered with flocks
and the valleys are mantled with grain;
they shout for joy and sing.

Et les vœux que nous t’avons faits, ╵nous les accomplirons.
3Toi qui écoutes les prières,
tout le monde viendra vers toi.
4Le poids des fautes ╵pèse sur moi : ╵il est trop lourd,
mais tu pardonnes ╵tous nos péchés.
5Heureux celui ╵que tu choisis ╵pour l’inviter ╵auprès de toi
à demeurer ╵dans tes parvis !
Nous y serons comblés ╵des bienfaits de ton temple,
et de la sainteté ╵de ton palais.
6Dans ta justice, ╵tu nous réponds
par des interventions terribles, ╵ô Dieu sauveur,
toi en qui mettent leur espoir ╵les hommes jusqu’aux confins de la terre, ╵jusqu’au-delà des mers.
7Par son pouvoir, ╵il établit fermement les montagnes.
Il est revêtu de puissance,
8il calme le fracas des mers, ╵tout le mugissement de leurs vagues,
et les peuples tumultueux.
9Ceux qui habitent ╵au bout du monde ╵sont saisis d’une grande crainte ╵en voyant tes prodiges.
Tu fais crier de joie ╵le levant, le couchant.
10Tu prends soin de la terre ╵et tu l’abreuves.
Tu la combles d’abondantes richesses !
Dieu, ton ruisseau ╵est rempli d’eau :
fertilisant ainsi la terre, ╵tu fais pousser le blé ╵pour les humains.
11Tu fais regorger d’eau ╵tous ses sillons. ╵Tu aplanis ses mottes,
tu l’amollis par les averses, ╵et tu bénis ce qui y germe.
12Tu couronnes l’année ╵de tes bienfaits ;
et partout où tu passes, ╵la terre est engraissée.
13Les pâturages des steppes ruissellent,
et les coteaux ╵se revêtent de joie.
14Les prés se couvrent ╵de moutons et de chèvres,
les vallées se drapent de blé :
tout chante et pousse des clameurs de joie.
