1Do you rulers indeed speak justly?
Do you judge people with equity?
2No, in your heart you devise injustice,
and your hands mete out violence on the earth.
3Even from birth the wicked go astray;
from the womb they are wayward, spreading lies.
4Their venom is like the venom of a snake,
like that of a cobra that has stopped its ears,
5that will not heed the tune of the charmer,
however skillful the enchanter may be.
6Break the teeth in their mouths, O God;
Lord, tear out the fangs of those lions!
7Let them vanish like water that flows away;
when they draw the bow, let their arrows fall short.
8May they be like a slug that melts away as it moves along,
like a stillborn child that never sees the sun.
9Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns—
whether they be green or dry—the wicked will be swept away.58:9 The meaning of the Hebrew for this verse is uncertain.
10The righteous will be glad when they are avenged,
when they dip their feet in the blood of the wicked.
11Then people will say,
“Surely the righteous still are rewarded;
surely there is a God who judges the earth.”

Malaglag ang mga Malaot
1Kamo nga mga pangulo, matarong bala ang inyo paghukom sa mga tawo?
2Indi! Kay ang inyo lang ginahunahuna amo ang paghimo sang malain.
Nagapanghalit kamo sa inyo lugar.
3Ang mga malaot nagapalayo sa Dios kag nagabutig halin pa sang ila pagkatawo.
4-5Dalitan sila pareho sa mga man-og.
Pareho sila sa kobra nga indi magpamati sa tingog sang hanas nga manug-anta.
6Ginoong Dios, kuhaa ang ila ikasarang sa pagpanghalit nga daw sa nagabingaw ka sang mga ngipon sang mga leon.
7Madula kuntani sila pareho sa tubig nga nagakahubas,
kag kon magpana sila, indi kuntani sila makaigo.58:7 kag kon… makaigo: Indi klaro ang buot silingon sang Hebreo sini.
8Mangin pareho kuntani sila sa taklong nga daw sa nagakatunaw ang iya lawas samtang nagakamang,
ukon pareho sa bata nga natawo nga patay, nga wala nakakita sang kasanag.
9Laglaga sila, bata man ukon tigulang. Laglaga sila nga mas madasig pa sa pag-init sang kolon nga ginadabukan sang tunukon nga mga kahoy-kahoy.58:9 Indi klaro ang buot silingon sang Hebreo sa sini nga bersikulo.
10Malipay ang mga matarong kon makita nila nga ginabalusan mo ang mga malaot kag nagaagay ang ila dugo.
11Dayon magasiling ang mga tawo,
“Matuod gid man nga may padya para sa mga matarong;
kag may Dios nga nagahukom sa mga tawo sa kalibutan.”
