1Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me,
for in you I take refuge.
I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings
until the disaster has passed.
2I cry out to God Most High,
to God, who vindicates me.
3He sends from heaven and saves me,
rebuking those who hotly pursue me—57:3 The Hebrew has Selah (a word of uncertain meaning) here and at the end of verse 6.
God sends forth his love and his faithfulness.
4I am in the midst of lions;
I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts—
men whose teeth are spears and arrows,
whose tongues are sharp swords.
5Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.
6They spread a net for my feet—
I was bowed down in distress.
They dug a pit in my path—
but they have fallen into it themselves.
7My heart, O God, is steadfast,
my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and make music.
8Awake, my soul!
Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.
9I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
10For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
11Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.

1Ten compasión de mí, oh Dios;
ten compasión de mí, que en ti confío.
A la sombra de tus alas me refugiaré,
hasta que haya pasado el peligro.
2Clamo al Dios Altísimo,
al Dios que me brinda su apoyo.
3Desde el cielo me tiende la mano y me salva;
reprende a mis perseguidores. Selah
¡Dios me envía su amor y su verdad!
4Me encuentro en medio de leones,
rodeado de gente rapaz.
Sus dientes son lanzas y flechas;
su lengua, una espada afilada.
5Pero tú, oh Dios, estás sobre los cielos,
¡tu gloria cubre toda la tierra!
6Tendieron una red en mi camino,
y mi ánimo quedó por los suelos.
En mi senda cavaron una fosa,

Voy a cantarte salmos.
8¡Despierta, alma mía!
¡Despertad, arpa y lira!
¡Haré despertar al nuevo día!
9Te alabaré, Señor, entre los pueblos,
te cantaré salmos entre las naciones.
10Pues tu amor es tan grande que llega a los cielos;
¡tu verdad llega hasta el firmamento!
11¡Tú, oh Dios, estás sobre los cielos;
