Psalm 106
1Praise the Lord.106:1 Hebrew Hallelu Yah; also in verse 48
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.
2Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the Lord
or fully declare his praise?
3Blessed are those who act justly,
who always do what is right.
4Remember me, Lord, when you show favor to your people,
come to my aid when you save them,
5that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones,
that I may share in the joy of your nation
and join your inheritance in giving praise.
6We have sinned, even as our ancestors did;
we have done wrong and acted wickedly.
7When our ancestors were in Egypt,
they gave no thought to your miracles;
they did not remember your many kindnesses,
and they rebelled by the sea, the Red Sea.106:7 Or the Sea of Reeds; also in verses 9 and 22
8Yet he saved them for his name’s sake,
to make his mighty power known.
9He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up;
he led them through the depths as through a desert.
10He saved them from the hand of the foe;
from the hand of the enemy he redeemed them.
11The waters covered their adversaries;
not one of them survived.
12Then they believed his promises
and sang his praise.
13But they soon forgot what he had done
and did not wait for his plan to unfold.
14In the desert they gave in to their craving;
in the wilderness they put God to the test.
15So he gave them what they asked for,
but sent a wasting disease among them.
16In the camp they grew envious of Moses
and of Aaron, who was consecrated to the Lord.
17The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan;
it buried the company of Abiram.
18Fire blazed among their followers;
a flame consumed the wicked.
19At Horeb they made a calf
and worshiped an idol cast from metal.
20They exchanged their glorious God
for an image of a bull, which eats grass.
21They forgot the God who saved them,
who had done great things in Egypt,
22miracles in the land of Ham
and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.
23So he said he would destroy them—
had not Moses, his chosen one,
stood in the breach before him
to keep his wrath from destroying them.
24Then they despised the pleasant land;
they did not believe his promise.
25They grumbled in their tents
and did not obey the Lord.
26So he swore to them with uplifted hand
that he would make them fall in the wilderness,
27make their descendants fall among the nations
and scatter them throughout the lands.
28They yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor
and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods;
29they aroused the Lord’s anger by their wicked deeds,
and a plague broke out among them.
30But Phinehas stood up and intervened,
and the plague was checked.
31This was credited to him as righteousness
for endless generations to come.
32By the waters of Meribah they angered the Lord,
and trouble came to Moses because of them;
33for they rebelled against the Spirit of God,
and rash words came from Moses’ lips.106:33 Or against his spirit, / and rash words came from his lips
34They did not destroy the peoples
as the Lord had commanded them,
35but they mingled with the nations
and adopted their customs.
36They worshiped their idols,
which became a snare to them.
37They sacrificed their sons
and their daughters to false gods.
38They shed innocent blood,
the blood of their sons and daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,
and the land was desecrated by their blood.
39They defiled themselves by what they did;
by their deeds they prostituted themselves.
40Therefore the Lord was angry with his people
and abhorred his inheritance.
41He gave them into the hands of the nations,
and their foes ruled over them.
42Their enemies oppressed them
and subjected them to their power.
43Many times he delivered them,
but they were bent on rebellion
and they wasted away in their sin.
44Yet he took note of their distress
when he heard their cry;
45for their sake he remembered his covenant
and out of his great love he relented.
46He caused all who held them captive
to show them mercy.
47Save us, Lord our God,
and gather us from the nations,
that we may give thanks to your holy name
and glory in your praise.
48Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting.
Let all the people say, “Amen!”

Ang Kaayo sang Dios sa Iya Katawhan
1Dayawa ang Ginoo!
Pasalamati siya kay maayo siya;
ang iya gugma wala sing katapusan.
2Wala sing may makasugid ukon makadayaw sing bug-os sang gamhanan nga mga binuhatan sang Ginoo.
3Bulahan ang tawo nga nagahimo sing husto kag matarong sa tanan nga tion.
4Ginoo, dumduma ako kon magbulig ka sa imo katawhan;
luwasa man ako kon magluwas ka sa ila,
5agod maagom ko man ang kauswagan sang imo pinili nga nasyon
kag agod makaambit man ako sang ila kalipay
kag makaupod ako sa ila pagdayaw sa imo.
6Nakasala kami pareho sang amon mga katigulangan;
malain gid ang amon ginhimo.
7Sang didto sa Egipto ang amon mga katigulangan, wala nila ginsapak ang imo makatilingala nga mga binuhatan.
Wala nila pagdumduma ang imo gugma nga ginpakita sa ila sing makapila ka beses,
kag nagrebelde sila sa imo sa Mapula nga Dagat.
8Pero ginluwas mo sila agod mapadunggan ka kag makita nila ang imo gahom.
9Ginmanduan sang Ginoo ang Mapula nga Dagat nga magmala, kag nagmala ini;
kag gintuytuyan niya ang iya katawhan sa pagtabok sa dagat nga daw sa nagalakat lang sila sa desierto.
10Ginluwas niya sila sa kamot sang mga kaaway.
11Gintabunan sang tubig ang ila mga kaaway
kag wala gid sing may nakaluwas sa ila.
12Gani nagtuo sila sa iya mga promisa
kag nagkanta sila sang pagdayaw sa iya.
13Pero nalimtan dayon nila ang iya ginhimo
kag wala sila maghulat sang iya laygay.
14Didto sa kamingawan, gintilawan nila ang Dios tungod sang ila sobra nga handom sa pagkaon.
15Gani ginhatag niya sa ila ang ila ginpangayo,
pero ginpadal-an man niya sila sang balatian nga nagpaluya sa ila.
16Didto sa ila nga kampo sa kamingawan, nahisa sila kay Moises kag kay Aaron. Si Aaron gindedikar nga mag-alagad sa Ginoo.
17Gani nagbuka ang duta kag nahulog si Datan kag si Abiram kag ang ila mga pamilya.
18Kag may kalayo pa gid nga nagsunog sa ila malaot nga mga sumulunod.
19Didto sa Horeb, naghimo ang mga Israelinhon sang bulawan nga torite nga baka
kag ginsimba nila ini nga dios-dios.
20Ginbayluhan nila ang ila dungganon nga Dios sang imahen sang isa ka turo nga baka nga nagahalab sang hilamon.
21-22Ginkalimtan nila ang Dios nga nagluwas sa ila kag naghimo sang gamhanan kag makatilingala nga mga binuhatan didto sa Egipto, ang duta sang mga kaliwat ni Ham, kag didto sa Mapula nga Dagat.
23Ginlaglag na kuntani sang Dios ang iya katawhan kon wala magpatunga si Moises nga iya alagad, sa pagkombinsi sa iya nga punggan niya ang iya kaakig agod indi niya sila malaglag.
24Ginbaliwala pa gid nila ang maayo nga duta kay wala sila magtuo sa promisa sang Dios.
25Nagkinumod sila sa ila mga tolda kag wala sila magtuman sa Ginoo.
26Gani nagpanumpa ang Ginoo nga pamatyon niya sila sa kamingawan,
27kag laptahon niya ang ila mga kaliwat sa iban nga mga nasyon nga sa diin magakalamatay sila.
28Gintugyan nila ang ila kaugalingon sa dios-dios nga si Baal nga didto sa Bukid sang Peor
kag nagkaon sila sang mga halad nga ginhalad sa mga patay.106:28 mga patay: ukon, patay nga mga dios-dios.
29Ginpaakig nila ang Ginoo tungod sang ila malaot nga mga binuhatan,
gani nag-abot sa ila ang kalalat-an.
30Pero nagpatunga si Finehas,
gani nag-untat ang kalalat-an.
31Ang ginhimo ni Finehas ginakabig nga matarong,
kag dumdumon ini sang mga tawo hasta san-o.
32Didto sa tuburan sang Meriba, ginpaakig sang mga Israelinhon ang Ginoo,
kag naglain gid ang buot ni Moises sa ila mga ginhimo.
33Tungod nga ginpalain nila ang buot ni Moises, nakahambal siya sang mga pulong nga wala niya paghunahunaa sing maayo.
34Wala ginpamatay sang mga Israelinhon ang mga katawhan sa Canaan suno sa ginsiling sa ila sang Ginoo.
35Sa baylo, nagpakig-isa sila sa sini nga mga katawhan kag ginsunod nila ang ila pagginawi.
36Ginsimba nila ang ila mga dios-dios kag nagdala ini sang kalaglagan sa ila.
37Ginhalad nila ang ila mga kabataan sa mga demonyo
38nga mga dios-dios sang Canaan.
Tungod sang ila pagpamatay sang ila inosente nga mga kabataan, ginhigkuan nila ang duta sang Canaan
39pati ang ila kaugalingon.
Tungod sang ila ginhimo, nagluib sila sa Dios pareho sa isa ka babayi nga nagpanginlalaki.
40Gani naakig ang Ginoo sa katawhan nga iya ginapanag-iyahan,
kag ginkangil-aran niya sila.
41Gintugyan niya sila sa mga nasyon nga ila mga kaaway,
kag gin-gamhan sila sang sini nga mga nasyon.
42Ginpigos sila sang ila mga kaaway kag gin-ulipon.
43Madamo nga beses nga ginluwas sila sang Dios,
pero ginahungod pa gid nila nga magrebelde sa iya,
gani nalaglag sila tungod sang ila sala.
44Pero kon magpanawag gani sila sa Dios, ginabuligan niya gihapon sila sa ila mga kalisod.
45Gindumdom sang Dios ang iya kasugtanan sa ila,
kag tungod sa iya dako nga gugma sa ila nagbaylo ang iya hunahuna nga indi na niya sila pagsilutan.
46Ginbuot niya nga kaluoyan sila sang mga nagbihag sa ila.
47Luwasa kami, Ginoo nga amon Dios,
kag tipuna kami liwat sa amon duta halin sa mga nasyon,
agod makapasalamat kami kag makadayaw sa imo pagkabalaan.106:47 pagkabalaan: sa literal, balaan nga ngalan.
48Dalayawon ang Ginoo, ang Dios sang Israel, sa wala sing katapusan.
Ang tanan nga katawhan magsabat sang, “Amen!”
