Human Plans and God’s Plans
1Woe to those who plan iniquity,
to those who plot evil on their beds!
At morning’s light they carry it out
because it is in their power to do it.
2They covet fields and seize them,
and houses, and take them.
They defraud people of their homes,
they rob them of their inheritance.
3Therefore, the Lord says:
“I am planning disaster against this people,
from which you cannot save yourselves.
You will no longer walk proudly,
for it will be a time of calamity.
4In that day people will ridicule you;
they will taunt you with this mournful song:
‘We are utterly ruined;
my people’s possession is divided up.
He takes it from me!
He assigns our fields to traitors.’ ”
5Therefore you will have no one in the assembly of the Lord
to divide the land by lot.
False Prophets
6“Do not prophesy,” their prophets say.
“Do not prophesy about these things;
disgrace will not overtake us.”
7You descendants of Jacob, should it be said,
“Does the Lord become2:7 Or Is the Spirit of the Lord impatient?
Does he do such things?”
“Do not my words do good
to the one whose ways are upright?
8Lately my people have risen up
like an enemy.
You strip off the rich robe
from those who pass by without a care,
like men returning from battle.
9You drive the women of my people
from their pleasant homes.
You take away my blessing
from their children forever.
10Get up, go away!
For this is not your resting place,
because it is defiled,
it is ruined, beyond all remedy.
11If a liar and deceiver comes and says,
‘I will prophesy for you plenty of wine and beer,’
that would be just the prophet for this people!
Deliverance Promised
12“I will surely gather all of you, Jacob;
I will surely bring together the remnant of Israel.
I will bring them together like sheep in a pen,
like a flock in its pasture;
the place will throng with people.
13The One who breaks open the way will go up before them;
they will break through the gate and go out.
Their King will pass through before them,
the Lord at their head.”
سرنوشت ظالمان
1وای بر شما كه شب، بر بستر خود نقشه‌های شوم می‌كشيد و صبح زود بر می‌خيزيد تا آنها را عملی سازيد. هر كار بدی كه از دستتان برآيد انجام می‌دهيد. 2به زمينها و خانه‌های مردم طمع می‌كنيد و آنها را از چنگشان درمی‌آوريد. اموال و خانهٔ كسی از دست شما در امان نيست.
3پس خداوند می‌فرمايد: «من قصد دارم بر سر شما بلا نازل كنم و شما قادر نخواهيد بود از آن فرار كنيد. روزگارتان سياه خواهد شد و ديگر با تكبر راه نخواهيد رفت، 4بلكه نوحه‌سرايی خواهيد كرد و خواهيد گفت: ”خانه خراب و نابود شديم. خداوند سرزمين ما را از ما گرفته و ما را آواره نموده و اموالمان را به ديگران داده است.“ آنگاه مردم شما را مسخره كرده به شما خواهند خنديد. 5هنگامی كه سرزمين قوم من به آنان بازگردانده شود، شما سهمی از آن نخواهيد داشت.»
6ولی آنان می‌گويند: «اين چيزها را بر زبان نياور، در اين مورد صحبت نكن! ما هرگز اينچنين رسوا نخواهيم شد.»
7خداوند می‌فرمايد: «ای خاندان يعقوب، آيا فكر می‌كنيد صبر من تمام شده است كه اينچنين با خشونت با شما صحبت می‌كنم؟ مگر نمی‌دانيد كه من با كسانی كه راستكردار باشند با مهربانی سخن می‌رانم؟ 8ولی شما بر ضد من برخاسته‌ايد و بر برادرانتان ظلم می‌كنيد و پيراهن كسی را كه به شما اطمينان دارد می‌رباييد. 9بيوه‌زنان را از خانه‌هايشان بيرون می‌رانيد و فرزندانشان را از هرگونه حق خدادادی محروم می‌كنيد. 10برخيزيد و برويد! اينجا ديگر در امنيت و آسايش نخواهيد بود، زيرا به خاطر گناهان شما اين مكان محكوم به فنا شده است.
11«اگر آدم ولگرد و دروغگويی بيايد و از لذت شراب و باده‌نوشی برايتان حرف بزند، فوری او را به پيغمبری قبول می‌كنيد.
وعدهٔ بازگشت
12«ای اسرائيل، زمانی می‌رسد كه من بازماندگان قوم تو را مانند گوسفندان به آغل باز می‌گردانم و سرزمين تو، بار ديگر مانند مرتعی مملو از گوسفند، پر از جمعيت خواهد شد. 13من راه را برای ايشان باز می‌كنم تا از ميان دروازه‌های شهرهايی كه در آنها اسير هستند عبور كرده، به سرزمين خود بازگردند. من كه خداوند و پادشاه ايشان هستم ايشان را رهبری خواهم كرد.»
