Jesus Has Risen
1After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
2There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
5The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
8So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. 10Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”
The Guards’ Report
11While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. 12When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, 13telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.’ 14If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” 15So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.
The Great Commission
16Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

イエスの復活
1安息日も終わり、日曜日になりました。マグダラのマリヤともう一人のマリヤは、明け方早く、墓へ出かけました。
2突然、大きな地震が起きました。天使が天から下って来て、墓の入口から石を転がし、その上に座ったのです。 3天使の顔はいなずまのように輝き、衣は雪のような白さでした。 4警備の者たちはその姿を見て、恐怖で震え上がり、死んだようになってしまいました。
5すると、天使がマリヤたちに声をかけました。「こわがらなくてもいいのです。十字架につけられたイエスを捜していることはわかっています。 6だがもう、イエスはここにはおられません。前から話していたように復活されたのです。中に入って、遺体の置いてあった所を見てごらんなさい。 7さあ早く行って、弟子たちに、イエスが死人の中から復活されたこと、ガリラヤへ行けば、そこでお会いできることを知らせてあげなさい。」
8二人は、恐ろしさに震えながらも、一方ではあふれる喜びを抑えることができませんでした。一刻も早くこのことを弟子たちに伝えようと、一目散に駆けだしました。 9すると、そこへ突然イエスが姿を現され、目の前に立ち、「おはよう」とあいさつなさいました。二人はイエスの前にひれ伏し、御足を抱いて礼拝しました。
10イエスは言われました。「こわがらなくてもいいのです。行って、わたしの兄弟たちに、すぐガリラヤへ行くように言いなさい。そこでわたしに会えるのです。」
11二人が町へ急いでいるころ、墓の番をしていた警備の者たちは祭司長たちのところに駆け込み、一部始終を報告しました。
12-13ユダヤ人の指導者が全員召集され、どうしたらよいか相談しました。その結果、警備の者たちに多額の賄賂を渡し、「夜、眠っている間に、イエスの弟子たちが死体を盗んでいった」と言わせることにしました。
14「もしこのことが総督の耳に入ったとしても、うまく説得してやるから心配することはない。あなたたちには決して迷惑はかけない。」彼らはこう約束しました。
15賄賂を受け取った彼らは、言われたとおりに話しました。そのため、この話は広くユダヤ人の間に行き渡り、今でもそう信じられています。
16一方、十一人の弟子はガリラヤに出かけ、イエスから指示された山に登りました。 17そこでイエスにお会いして礼拝しましたが、中にはイエスだと信じない者もいました。
18イエスは弟子たちに言われました。「わたしには天と地のすべての権威が与えられています。 19だから、出て行って、すべての人々をわたしの弟子とし、彼らに、父と子と聖霊との名によってバプテスマ（洗礼）を授けなさい。 20また、弟子となった者たちには、あなたがたに命じておいたすべての戒めを守るように教えなさい。わたしは世界の終わりまで、いつもあなたがたと共にいます。」
