Zion’s New Name
1For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent,
for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet,
till her vindication shines out like the dawn,
her salvation like a blazing torch.
2The nations will see your vindication,
and all kings your glory;
you will be called by a new name
that the mouth of the Lord will bestow.
3You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand,
a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
4No longer will they call you Deserted,
or name your land Desolate.
But you will be called Hephzibah,62:4 Hephzibah means my delight is in her.
and your land Beulah62:4 Beulah means married.;
for the Lord will take delight in you,
and your land will be married.
5As a young man marries a young woman,
so will your Builder marry you;
as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride,
so will your God rejoice over you.
6I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem;
they will never be silent day or night.
You who call on the Lord,
give yourselves no rest,
7and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem
and makes her the praise of the earth.
8The Lord has sworn by his right hand
and by his mighty arm:
“Never again will I give your grain
as food for your enemies,
and never again will foreigners drink the new wine
for which you have toiled;
9but those who harvest it will eat it
and praise the Lord,
and those who gather the grapes will drink it
in the courts of my sanctuary.”
10Pass through, pass through the gates!
Prepare the way for the people.
Build up, build up the highway!
Remove the stones.
Raise a banner for the nations.
11The Lord has made proclamation
to the ends of the earth:
“Say to Daughter Zion,
‘See, your Savior comes!
See, his reward is with him,
and his recompense accompanies him.’ ”
12They will be called the Holy People,
the Redeemed of the Lord;
and you will be called Sought After,
the City No Longer Deserted.
O Novo Nome de Sião
1Por amor de Sião eu não sossegarei,
por amor de Jerusalém não descansarei
enquanto a sua justiça não resplandecer como a alvorada,
e a sua salvação, como as chamas de uma tocha.
2As nações verão a sua justiça,
e todos os reis, a sua glória;
você será chamada por um novo nome
que a boca do Senhor lhe dará.
3Será uma esplêndida coroa na mão do Senhor,
um diadema real na mão do seu Deus.
4Não mais a chamarão abandonada,
nem desamparada à sua terra.
Você, porém, será chamada Hefzibá62.4 Hefzibá significa o meu prazer está nela.,
e a sua terra, Beulá62.4 Beulá significa casada.,
pois o Senhor terá prazer em você,
e a sua terra estará casada.
5Assim como um jovem se casa com sua noiva,
os seus filhos se casarão62.5 Ou assim aquele que a edificou se casará com você;
assim como o noivo se regozija por sua noiva,
assim o seu Deus se regozija por você.
6Coloquei sentinelas em seus muros, ó Jerusalém;
jamais descansarão, dia e noite.
Vocês que clamam pelo Senhor
não se entreguem ao repouso
7e não lhe concedam descanso
até que ele estabeleça Jerusalém
e faça dela o louvor da terra.
8O Senhor jurou por sua mão direita
e por seu braço poderoso:
“Nunca mais darei o seu trigo
como alimento para os seus inimigos,
e nunca mais estrangeiros beberão o vinho novo
pelo qual se afadigaram;
9mas aqueles que colherem o trigo,
dele comerão e louvarão o Senhor,
e aqueles que juntarem as uvas
delas beberão nos pátios do meu santuário”.
10Passem, passem pelas portas!
Preparem o caminho para o povo.
Construam, construam a estrada!
Removam as pedras.
Ergam uma bandeira para as nações.
11O Senhor proclamou aos confins da terra:
“Digam à cidade62.11 Hebraico: filha. de Sião:
Veja! O seu Salvador vem!
Veja! Ele traz a sua recompensa e o seu galardão o acompanha”.
12Eles serão chamados povo santo,
redimidos do Senhor;
e você será chamada procurada,
cidade não abandonada.
