1A prophecy against Moab:
Ar in Moab is ruined,
destroyed in a night!
Kir in Moab is ruined,
destroyed in a night!
2Dibon goes up to its temple,
to its high places to weep;
Moab wails over Nebo and Medeba.
Every head is shaved
and every beard cut off.
3In the streets they wear sackcloth;
on the roofs and in the public squares
they all wail,
prostrate with weeping.
4Heshbon and Elealeh cry out,
their voices are heard all the way to Jahaz.
Therefore the armed men of Moab cry out,
and their hearts are faint.
5My heart cries out over Moab;
her fugitives flee as far as Zoar,
as far as Eglath Shelishiyah.
They go up the hill to Luhith,
weeping as they go;
on the road to Horonaim
they lament their destruction.
6The waters of Nimrim are dried up
and the grass is withered;
the vegetation is gone
and nothing green is left.
7So the wealth they have acquired and stored up
they carry away over the Ravine of the Poplars.
8Their outcry echoes along the border of Moab;
their wailing reaches as far as Eglaim,
their lamentation as far as Beer Elim.

1Kini ang mensahe bahin sa Moab:
Sulod sa usa lang ka gabii, giguba ang mga lungsod sa Ar ug Kir nga sakop sa Moab. 2Mitungas ang mga taga-Dibon sa ilang templo ug sa ilang mga halaran sa habog nga mga dapit aron manghilak didto. Gihilakan sa mga taga-Moab ang Nebo ug Medeba. Ang matag usa kanila nagpaupaw ug namarbas sa pagpakita sa ilang pagsubo. 3Nagbisti sila ug sako samtang naglakaw sa karsada. Nanghilak sila didto sa atop sa ilang mga balay ug sa mga plasa. 4Nanghilak ang mga taga-Heshbon ug ang mga taga-Eleale, ug madunggan kini hangtod sa Jahaz. Busa ang mga sundalo sa Moab naninggit sa kahadlok.
5Nalooy gayod ako sa Moab. Miikyas ang iyang mga katawhan ngadto sa Zoar ug sa Eglat Shelishiya. Naghilak sila nga mitungas sa Luhit. Ang uban kanila naniyabaw samtang nagpaingon sa Horonaim tungod sa ilang gidangatan. 6Namad-an ang sapa15:6 sapa: o, mga sapa. sa Nimrim ug nangalaya ang mga sagbot. Wala nay miturok nga tanom. 7Busa gidala nila sa tabok sa lugut sa Arabim ang mga bahandi nga ilang gihagoan ug natigom. 8Madunggan ang ilang paghilak hangtod sa utlanan sa Moab, sa Eglaim, ug sa Beer Elim. 9Nagpula tungod sa dugo ang tubig sa Dibon,15:9 Dibon: o, Dimon. apan may ipadala pa ako nga mas labaw pa gayod niana: usa ka liyon nga motukob sa mga nangikyas gikan sa Moab ug sa mga nahibilin diha sa nasod.
