From Adam to Noah
1This is the written account of Adam’s family line.
When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God. 2He created them male and female and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind”5:2 Hebrew adam when they were created.
3When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth. 4After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 5Altogether, Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.
6When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the father5:6 Father may mean ancestor; also in verses 7-26. of Enosh. 7After he became the father of Enosh, Seth lived 807 years and had other sons and daughters. 8Altogether, Seth lived a total of 912 years, and then he died.
9When Enosh had lived 90 years, he became the father of Kenan. 10After he became the father of Kenan, Enosh lived 815 years and had other sons and daughters. 11Altogether, Enosh lived a total of 905 years, and then he died.
12When Kenan had lived 70 years, he became the father of Mahalalel. 13After he became the father of Mahalalel, Kenan lived 840 years and had other sons and daughters. 14Altogether, Kenan lived a total of 910 years, and then he died.
15When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he became the father of Jared. 16After he became the father of Jared, Mahalalel lived 830 years and had other sons and daughters. 17Altogether, Mahalalel lived a total of 895 years, and then he died.
18When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch. 19After he became the father of Enoch, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 20Altogether, Jared lived a total of 962 years, and then he died.
21When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah. 22After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. 24Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.
25When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech. 26After he became the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and had other sons and daughters. 27Altogether, Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and then he died.
28When Lamech had lived 182 years, he had a son. 29He named him Noah5:29 Noah sounds like the Hebrew for comfort. and said, “He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the Lord has cursed.” 30After Noah was born, Lamech lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters. 31Altogether, Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.
32After Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham and Japheth.
Dòng Dõi A-đam
1Đây là dòng dõi A-đam. Đức Chúa Trời đã sáng tạo A-đam như hình ảnh Ngài. 2Ngài tạo ra người nam và người nữ. Ngay từ đầu, Ngài ban phước lành cho họ và gọi họ là “người.”5:2 Nt A-đam
3Khi A-đam 130 tuổi, ông sinh một con trai giống như mình và đặt tên là Sết. 4Sau khi sinh Sết, A-đam còn sống thêm 800 năm và sinh con trai con gái. 5Vậy, A-đam thọ 930 tuổi.
6Khi Sết 105 tuổi, ông sinh Ê-nót. 7Sau khi sinh Ê-nót, Sết còn sống thêm 807 năm và sinh con trai con gái. 8Vậy Sết thọ 912 tuổi.
9Khi Ê-nót 90 tuổi, ông sinh Kê-nan. 10Sau khi sinh Kê-nan, Ê-nót còn sống thêm 815 năm và sinh con trai con gái. 11Vậy Ê-nót thọ 905 tuổi.
12Khi Kê-nan 70 tuổi, ông sinh Ma-ha-la-lê. 13Sau khi sinh Ma-ha-la-lê, Kê-nan còn sống thêm 840 năm và sinh con trai con gái. 14Vậy Kê-nan thọ 910 tuổi.
15Khi Ma-ha-la-lê 65 tuổi, ông sinh Gia-rết. 16Sau khi sinh Gia-rết, ông Ma-ha-la-lê còn sống thêm 830 năm và sinh con trai con gái. 17Ma-ha-la-lê thọ 895 tuổi.
18Khi Gia-rết 162 tuổi, ông sinh Hê-nóc. 19Sau khi sinh Hê-nóc, Gia-rết còn sống thêm 800 năm và sinh con trai con gái. 20Vậy Gia-rết thọ 962 tuổi.
21Khi Hê-nóc 65 tuổi, ông sinh Mê-tu-sê-la. 22Sau khi sinh Mê-tu-sê-la, Hê-nóc sống thêm 300 năm, đồng đi với Đức Chúa Trời, và ông có thêm con trai con gái. 23Hê-nóc sống được 365 năm, 24ông đồng đi với Đức Chúa Trời, tận hưởng liên hệ gần gũi với Ngài. Một ngày kia thình lình ông biến mất, vì Đức Chúa Trời đem ông đi.
25Khi Mê-tu-sê-la 187 tuổi, ông sinh Lê-méc. 26Sau khi sinh Lê-méc, Mê-tu-sê-la còn sống thêm 782 năm và sinh con trai con gái. 27Vậy, Mê-tu-sê-la thọ 969 tuổi.
28Khi Lê-méc 182 tuổi, ông sinh một con trai. 29Ông đặt tên con là Nô-ê, và nói: “Nó sẽ an ủi chúng ta lúc lao động và nhọc nhằn, vì đất đã bị Chúa Hằng Hữu nguyền rủa, bắt tay ta phải làm.” 30Sau khi sinh Nô-ê, Lê-méc còn sống thêm 595 năm và sinh con trai con gái. 31Vậy, Lê-méc thọ 777 tuổi.
32Nô-ê được 500 tuổi, ông có ba con trai: Sem, Cham, và Gia-phết.
