The River From the Temple
1The man brought me back to the entrance to the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar. 2He then brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and the water was trickling from the south side.
3As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits47:3 That is, about 1,700 feet or about 530 meters and then led me through water that was ankle-deep. 4He measured off another thousand cubits and led me through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and led me through water that was up to the waist. 5He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in—a river that no one could cross. 6He asked me, “Son of man, do you see this?”
Then he led me back to the bank of the river. 7When I arrived there, I saw a great number of trees on each side of the river. 8He said to me, “This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah,47:8 Or the Jordan Valley where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh. 9Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live. 10Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds—like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea. 11But the swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they will be left for salt. 12Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.”
The Boundaries of the Land
13This is what the Sovereign Lord says: “These are the boundaries of the land that you will divide among the twelve tribes of Israel as their inheritance, with two portions for Joseph. 14You are to divide it equally among them. Because I swore with uplifted hand to give it to your ancestors, this land will become your inheritance.
15“This is to be the boundary of the land:
“On the north side it will run from the Mediterranean Sea by the Hethlon road past Lebo Hamath to Zedad, 16Berothah47:15,16 See Septuagint and 48:1; Hebrew road to go into Zedad, 16 Hamath, Berothah. and Sibraim (which lies on the border between Damascus and Hamath), as far as Hazer Hattikon, which is on the border of Hauran. 17The boundary will extend from the sea to Hazar Enan,47:17 Hebrew Enon, a variant of Enan along the northern border of Damascus, with the border of Hamath to the north. This will be the northern boundary.
18“On the east side the boundary will run between Hauran and Damascus, along the Jordan between Gilead and the land of Israel, to the Dead Sea and as far as Tamar.47:18 See Syriac; Hebrew Israel. You will measure to the Dead Sea. This will be the eastern boundary.
19“On the south side it will run from Tamar as far as the waters of Meribah Kadesh, then along the Wadi of Egypt to the Mediterranean Sea. This will be the southern boundary.
20“On the west side, the Mediterranean Sea will be the boundary to a point opposite Lebo Hamath. This will be the western boundary.
21“You are to distribute this land among yourselves according to the tribes of Israel. 22You are to allot it as an inheritance for yourselves and for the foreigners residing among you and who have children. You are to consider them as native-born Israelites; along with you they are to be allotted an inheritance among the tribes of Israel. 23In whatever tribe a foreigner resides, there you are to give them their inheritance,” declares the Sovereign Lord.

(Ang templo nagaatubang sa sidlangan.) Dayon nagliko ang tubig patuo, sa bagatnan dampi sang halaran. 2Gindala dayon ako sang tawo sa guwa sang templo. Didto kami nag-agi sa alagyan sa aminhan. Kag ginlibot niya ako didto sa guwa pakadto sa alagyan sa sidlangan. Didto nakita ko ang tubig nga nagailig halin sa aminhan dampi sang alagyan. 3Naglakat kami sang tawo pasidlangan sa higad sang tubig, kag sige ang iya takos. Sang mga 1,700 na ka tapak ang amon nalakat, ginpaubog niya ako sa tubig nga hasta pa lang sa akon bukobuko. 4Nagtakos liwat ang tawo sing mga 1,700 ka tapak kag ginpaubog niya ako liwat sa tubig nga hasta na sa akon tuhod. Nagtakos siya liwat sing mga 1,700 ka tapak kag ginpaubog niya ako liwat sa tubig nga hasta na sa akon hawak. 5Nagtakos pa gid siya sing mga 1,700 ka tapak, pero indi ko na ini maubog kay tama na kadalom. Kinahanglan na ini nga languyon.
6Nagsiling ang tawo sa akon, “Tawo, tandai sing maayo ang imo nakita.” Dayon gindala niya ako pabalik nga nagaagi sa higad sang sadto nga suba. 7Sang nagaagi kami didto, may nakita ako nga madamo gid nga mga kahoy sa magtimbang nga pangpang. 8Dayon nagsiling siya sa akon, “Ini nga tubig nagailig sa kadutaan sa sidlangan padulhog sa Kapatagan sang Jordan47:8 Kapatagan sang Jordan: sa Hebreo, Araba. pakadto sa Patay nga Dagat. Kag ang Patay nga Dagat nangin manami na, kag indi na maasin. 9Bisan diin mag-ilig ato nga tubig, madamo gid nga mga isda kag iban pa nga mga sapat sa tubig ang magakabuhi, kay ginapanami sini ang maasin nga tubig. 10Madamo ang magapangisda sa Patay nga Dagat halin sa En Gedi pakadto sa En Eglaim. Ang baybayon mapuno sang mga pukot nga ginabulad sa init. Magadamo ang nagkalain-lain nga mga isda sa Patay nga Dagat pareho sa Dagat sang Mediteraneo. 11Pero ang mga katubigan sa palibot sini maasin lang gihapon, agod may makuhaan sang asin ang mga tawo. 12Magatubo sa pihak kag pihak sang suba ang nagkalain-lain nga mga kahoy nga nagapamunga. Indi malaya ang ila mga dahon kag indi maubos ang ila mga bunga. Magapamunga ini kada bulan kay ginailigan ini sang tubig nga halin sa templo. Ang ila mga bunga para pagkaon kag ang ila mga dahon para bulong.”
Ang mga Dulunan sang Duta
13Nagsiling pa gid ang Ginoong Dios, “Amo ini ang mga dulunan sang duta nga inyo partidahon sa dose ka tribo sang Israel bilang ila nga palanublion. Hatagan ninyo sang duha ka parte ang tribo ni Jose. 14Dapat palareho ang inyo pagpartida sang duta, kay nagsumpa ako sa inyo mga katigulangan nga ihatag ko ini sa ila kag panublion ninyo. 15Amo ini ang mga dulunan:
“Ang dulunan sa aminhan magasugod sa Dagat sang Mediteraneo pakadto sa Hetlon, sa Lebo Hamat, sa Zedad, 16sa Berota, sa Sibraim nga ara sa dulunan sang Damascus kag Hamat, hasta sa Hazer Haticon nga ara sa dulunan sang Hauran. 17Gani ang dulunan sa aminhan magasugod sa Dagat sang Mediteraneo hasta sa Hazar Enan, nga ara sa dulunan sang Damascus kag sang Hamat sa aminhan. Amo ato ang dulunan sa aminhan.
18“Ang dulunan sa sidlangan magasugod sa dulunan sang Hauran kag sang Damascus pakadto sa Suba sang Jordan (nga nagaseparar sang Gilead kag sang duta sang Israel) pakadto sa Patay nga Dagat47:18 Patay nga Dagat: sa literal, dagat sa sidlangan. hasta sa Tamar.47:18 hasta sa Tamar: Amo ini sa Septuagint kag sa Syriac. Sa Hebreo, magatakos ka. Amo ato ang dulunan sa sidlangan.
19“Ang dulunan sa bagatnan magasugod sa Tamar pakadto sa tuburan sang Meriba Kadesh47:19 Meriba Kadesh: ukon, Meriba sa Kadesh. deretso sa ililigan sang tubig hasta sa Dagat sang Mediteraneo. Amo ato ang dulunan sa bagatnan.
20“Ang dulunan sa nakatundan amo mismo ang Dagat sang Mediteraneo hasta sa lugar nga nagaatubang sa Lebo Hamat. Amo ato ang dulunan sa nakatundan.
21“Partidahon ninyo ini nga mga duta para sa inyo tagsa ka tribo. 22Palanublion ninyo ini kag sang mga indi Israelinhon nga nagaestar upod sa inyo nga ang ila mga kabataan natawo sa Israel. Kabigon ninyo sila nga tumandok nga mga Israelinhon, kag partihan man ninyo sila sang palanublion nga duta sang tribo sang Israel. 23Kon diin sila nga tribo nagaestar, didto man sila partihan sang ila duta. Ako, ang Ginoong Dios, ang nagasiling sini.”
