Ecclesiastes 11 – NIV & NEN

New International Version

Ecclesiastes 11:1-10

Invest in Many Ventures

1Ship your grain across the sea;

after many days you may receive a return.

2Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight;

you do not know what disaster may come upon the land.

3If clouds are full of water,

they pour rain on the earth.

Whether a tree falls to the south or to the north,

in the place where it falls, there it will lie.

4Whoever watches the wind will not plant;

whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.

5As you do not know the path of the wind,

or how the body is formed11:5 Or know how life (or the spirit) / enters the body being formed in a mother’s womb,

so you cannot understand the work of God,

the Maker of all things.

6Sow your seed in the morning,

and at evening let your hands not be idle,

for you do not know which will succeed,

whether this or that,

or whether both will do equally well.

Remember Your Creator While Young

7Light is sweet,

and it pleases the eyes to see the sun.

8However many years anyone may live,

let them enjoy them all.

But let them remember the days of darkness,

for there will be many.

Everything to come is meaningless.

9You who are young, be happy while you are young,

and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth.

Follow the ways of your heart

and whatever your eyes see,

but know that for all these things

God will bring you into judgment.

10So then, banish anxiety from your heart

and cast off the troubles of your body,

for youth and vigor are meaningless.

Mhubiri 11:1-10

Mkate Juu Ya Maji

111:1 Kum 15:10; 24:19; Hos 10:12; Mt 10:42; Isa 32:20; Mit 19:17Tupa mkate wako juu ya maji,

kwa maana baada ya siku nyingi

utaupata tena.

211:2 Mik 5:5; Efe 5:16; Za 112:9Wape sehemu watu saba, naam hata wanane,

kwa maana hujui ni baa gani

litakalokuwa juu ya nchi.

3Kama mawingu yamejaa maji,

hunyesha mvua juu ya nchi.

Kama mti ukianguka kuelekea kusini

au kuelekea kaskazini,

mahali ulipoangukia,

hapo ndipo utakapolala.

4Yeyote atazamaye upepo hatapanda,

yeyote aangaliaye mawingu hatavuna.

511:5 Za 139:14-16; Yn 3:8-10Kama vile usivyofahamu njia ya upepo,

au jinsi mwili uumbwavyo

ndani ya tumbo la mama,

vivyo hivyo huwezi kufahamu kazi ya Mungu,

Muumba wa vitu vyote.

611:6 Mhu 9:10Panda mbegu yako asubuhi,

nako jioni usiruhusu mikono yako ilegee,

kwa maana hujui ni ipi itakayofanikiwa,

kwamba ni hii au ni ile,

au kwamba zote zitafanikiwa sawasawa.

Mkumbuke Muumba Wako Ukiwa Bado Kijana

711:7 Mhu 7:11Nuru ni tamu,

tena inafurahisha macho kuona jua.

8Hata kama mtu ataishi miaka mingi kiasi gani,

na aifurahie yote.

Lakini na akumbuke siku za giza,

kwa maana zitakuwa nyingi.

Kila kitu kitakachokuja ni ubatili.

911:9 Ay 19:29; Kum 29:19; Mdo 14:16; Rum 14:10; Mhu 2:24; 3:17Furahi ewe kijana, wakati ungali kijana,

moyo wako na ukupe furaha

katika siku za ujana wako.

Fuata njia za moyo wako

na chochote macho yako yaonayo,

lakini ujue kwamba kwa ajili ya haya yote

Mungu atakuleta hukumuni.

1011:10 2Kor 7:1; Za 94:19; Mhu 2:24Kwa hiyo basi, ondoa wasiwasi moyoni mwako

na utupilie mbali masumbufu ya mwili wako,

kwa kuwa ujana na nguvu ni ubatili.
