Moses Blesses the Tribes
1This is the blessing that Moses the man of God pronounced on the Israelites before his death. 2He said:
“The Lord came from Sinai
and dawned over them from Seir;
he shone forth from Mount Paran.
He came with33:2 Or from myriads of holy ones
from the south, from his mountain slopes.33:2 The meaning of the Hebrew for this phrase is uncertain.
3Surely it is you who love the people;
all the holy ones are in your hand.
At your feet they all bow down,
and from you receive instruction,
4the law that Moses gave us,
the possession of the assembly of Jacob.
5He was king over Jeshurun33:5 Jeshurun means the upright one, that is, Israel; also in verse 26.
when the leaders of the people assembled,
along with the tribes of Israel.
6“Let Reuben live and not die,
nor33:6 Or but let his people be few.”
7And this he said about Judah:
“Hear, Lord, the cry of Judah;
bring him to his people.
With his own hands he defends his cause.
Oh, be his help against his foes!”
8About Levi he said:
“Your Thummim and Urim belong
to your faithful servant.
You tested him at Massah;
you contended with him at the waters of Meribah.
9He said of his father and mother,
‘I have no regard for them.’
He did not recognize his brothers
or acknowledge his own children,
but he watched over your word
and guarded your covenant.
10He teaches your precepts to Jacob
and your law to Israel.
He offers incense before you
and whole burnt offerings on your altar.
11Bless all his skills, Lord,
and be pleased with the work of his hands.
Strike down those who rise against him,
his foes till they rise no more.”
12About Benjamin he said:
“Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him,
for he shields him all day long,
and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders.”
13About Joseph he said:
“May the Lord bless his land
with the precious dew from heaven above
and with the deep waters that lie below;
14with the best the sun brings forth
and the finest the moon can yield;
15with the choicest gifts of the ancient mountains
and the fruitfulness of the everlasting hills;
16with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness
and the favor of him who dwelt in the burning bush.
Let all these rest on the head of Joseph,
on the brow of the prince among33:16 Or of the one separated from his brothers.
17In majesty he is like a firstborn bull;
his horns are the horns of a wild ox.
With them he will gore the nations,
even those at the ends of the earth.
Such are the ten thousands of Ephraim;
such are the thousands of Manasseh.”
18About Zebulun he said:
“Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out,
and you, Issachar, in your tents.
19They will summon peoples to the mountain
and there offer the sacrifices of the righteous;
they will feast on the abundance of the seas,
on the treasures hidden in the sand.”
20About Gad he said:
“Blessed is he who enlarges Gad’s domain!
Gad lives there like a lion,
tearing at arm or head.
21He chose the best land for himself;
the leader’s portion was kept for him.
When the heads of the people assembled,
he carried out the Lord’s righteous will,
and his judgments concerning Israel.”
22About Dan he said:
“Dan is a lion’s cub,
springing out of Bashan.”
23About Naphtali he said:
“Naphtali is abounding with the favor of the Lord
and is full of his blessing;
he will inherit southward to the lake.”
24About Asher he said:
“Most blessed of sons is Asher;
let him be favored by his brothers,
and let him bathe his feet in oil.
25The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze,
and your strength will equal your days.
26“There is no one like the God of Jeshurun,
who rides across the heavens to help you
and on the clouds in his majesty.
27The eternal God is your refuge,
and underneath are the everlasting arms.
He will drive out your enemies before you,
saying, ‘Destroy them!’
28So Israel will live in safety;
Jacob will dwell33:28 Septuagint; Hebrew Jacob’s spring is secure
in a land of grain and new wine,
where the heavens drop dew.
29Blessed are you, Israel!
Who is like you,
a people saved by the Lord?
He is your shield and helper
and your glorious sword.
Your enemies will cower before you,
and you will tread on their heights.”
موسا داوای بەرەکەت دەکات بۆ هۆزەکان
1ئەوەش ئەو بەرەکەتەیە کە موسای پیاوی خودا بۆ نەوەی ئیسرائیل33:1 نەوەی ئیسرائیلی: لێرەدا موسا بە ناوی وەچەکانی یاقوبەوە داوای بەرەکەت بۆ نەوەکانی ئەم هۆزانە دەکات، کە ئەم وەچانە نزیکەی 400 ساڵ لەمەوپێش لە خاکی میسردا مردبوون. بڕوانە پەیدابوون 15:13 و دەرچوون 1:1-7 و کردار 7:6. داوای کرد، بەر لە مردنی، 2گوتی:
«یەزدان لە سیناوە هات و
لە سێعیرەوە بەسەریاندا هەڵهات،
لە کێوی پارانەوە درەوشایەوە و
هەزاران هەزار فریشتەی پیرۆزی لەگەڵ بوو،
لە بنارەکانی باشوورەوە.
3بێگومان ئەوە تۆی کە هەموو گەلانت خۆشدەوێت،
هەموو پیرۆزەکان لەنێو دەستی تۆدان،
ئەوان لەلای پێت کڕنۆش دەبەن،
ڕێنمایی لە تۆ وەردەگرن.
4موسا فەرمانی فێرکردنی پێداین،
میراتە بۆ کۆمەڵی یاقوب.
5لەنێو یەشوروون33:5 ناوی (یەشوروون) واتا (ئەو کەسەی کە سەرڕاستە)، لێرە مەبەست لە نەوەی ئیسرائیلە. بوو بە پاشا،
بە کۆبوونەوەی ڕابەرەکانی گەل،
هۆزەکانی ئیسرائیل پێکەوە.
6«با نەوەی ڕەئوبێن بژیێت و نەمرێت،
با پیاوەکانی کەم نەبن.»
7سەبارەت بە نەوەی یەهودا ئەمەی گوت:
«ئەی یەزدان، گوێ لە دەنگی یەهودا بگرە و
بۆ لای گەلەکەی بیهێنە،
دەستەکانی بەسە بۆی،
ببە بە یارمەتیدەر لە دژی دوژمنانی!»
8سەبارەت بە نەوەی لێڤی گوتی:
«تومیم و ئوریمی33:8 تومیم و ئوریم: دوو بەردی گرانبەها بوون، لە کاتی بڕیاردان بۆ زانینی خواستی خودا بەکارهێنراون، بڕوانە دەرچوون 28:30 و یەکەم ساموئێل 23:9-12. تۆ
بۆ پیاوە خۆشەویستەکەتە،
ئەوەی لە مەسا تاقیت کردەوە و
لە مێرگی مەریبا خەباتت لەگەڵدا کرد.
9ئەوەی33:9 مەبەست لە هۆزی لێڤییە. سەبارەت بە دایک و باوکی گوتی،
”ڕەچاوم نەکردوون،“
دانی بە براکانیشیدا نەنا و
منداڵەکانیشی نەناسی،
بەڵام چاودێری فەرمایشتەکانی تۆی کرد و
پەیمانەکەی تۆی پاراست.
10نەوەی یاقوب، فێری ڕاسپاردەکانت و
نەوەی ئیسرائیلیش فێری تەوراتی تۆ دەکات،
بۆنی بخوور دەخاتە بەردەمت و
قوربانی سووتاندنی تەواو دەخاتە سەر قوربانگاکەت.
11ئەی یەزدان، توانای شارەزایی بەرەکەتدار بکە و
بە کرداری دەستی ڕازی بە،
لە کەمەری بەرهەڵستکاران و ناحەزانی بدە،
هەتا هەڵنەستنەوە.»
12سەبارەت بە نەوەی بنیامین گوتی:
«ئەو خۆشەویستی یەزدانە، بە ئاسوودەیی لەلای نیشتەجێ دەبێت،
بە درێژایی ڕۆژ داڵدەی دەدات و
یەزدان لەنێو هەردوو شانیدا نیشتەجێی دەکات.»
13سەبارەت بە نەوەی یوسف گوتی:
«با خاکەکەی لەلایەن یەزدانەوە بەرەکەتدار بێت
بە شەونمی گرانبەهای ئاسمان،
بە ئاوە قەتیسکراوەکانی خوارەوە،
14بە بەهادارترین دیارییەکانی خۆر و
بەهادارترین دیارییەکانی بەروبوومی مانگ،
15بە بەهادارترین دیارییەکانی چیا دێرینەکان،
بە بەسوودترین گردە هەتاهەتاییەکان،
16بە بەهادارترین دیارییەکانی زەوی و پڕییەکەی،
لەگەڵ ڕەزامەندی نیشتەجێی ناو دەوەنەکە33:16 مەبەستی لە دەرکەوتنی خودایە بۆ موسا لەناو دەوەنەکە، بڕوانە دەرچوون 3:1-6.،
با بەسەر سەری یوسفەوە بن،
بەسەر تەپڵی سەری لە براکانی جیا کرایەوە.33:16 بڕوانە پەیدابوون 37:11-15؛ 44:14.
17نۆبەرەی گایەکەی شکۆمەندییە بۆی،
قۆچەکانی قۆچی گای کێوین،
بەوان قۆچ لە گەلان دەدات،
پێکەوە هەتا ئەوپەڕی زەوی،
ئەوان هەزاران هەزاری ئەفرایم و
هەزارانی مەنەشەن.»
18سەبارەت بە نەوەی زەبولون گوتی:
«ئەی زەبولون بە کۆچکردنت دڵخۆش بە و
تۆش ئەی یەساخار بە چادرەکانت،
19گەلان بۆ چیا بانگ دەکەن،
لەوێ قوربانی ڕاستودروستی سەردەبڕن،
هەتا لە پڕی دەریا بمژن و
لەو گەنجینەیەی لەژێر لم شاردراوەتەوە.»
20سەبارەت بە نەوەی گاد گوتی:
«بەرەکەتدارە ئەوەی سنووری خاکی گادی فراوان کرد!
وەک شێرە مێ نیشتەجێ بوو،
قۆڵی پارچەپارچە کرد لەگەڵ تەپڵی سەر،
21باشترین خاکی بۆ خۆی دانا،
بەشی فەرماندەی بۆ خۆی هەڵگرت،
کاتێک سەرکردەکانی گەل کۆبوونەوە،
دادوەری یەزدانی جێبەجێ کرد و
حوکمەکانیشی سەبارەت بە ئیسرائیل.»
22سەبارەت بە نەوەی دان گوتی:
«دان بەچکە شێرە،
لە باشان قەڵەمباز بەرەو پێش دەدات.»
23سەبارەت بە نەوەی نەفتالی گوتی:
«ئەی نەفتالی، تێر بە لە ڕەزامەندی و
پڕ بە لە بەرەکەتی یەزدان،
دەست بەسەر ڕۆژئاوا و باشووری خاکەکەتدا بگرە.»
24سەبارەت بە نەوەی ئاشێر گوتی:
«با ئاشێر لەنێو کوڕان بەرەکەتدار بێت،
با لەلای براکانی پەسەند بێت،
با پێی بکاتە ناو زەیت،
25دەروازەکانت لە ئاسن و بڕۆنزن،
بەگوێرەی درێژی تەمەنت هێزت پێ دەبەخشێت.»
26«خودای یەشوروون هاوتای نییە،
سواری ئاسمان دەبێت بۆ یارمەتیدانت،
هەروەها هەورەکان لە شکۆی خۆیدا.
27خودای هەتاهەتایی پەناگاتە و
باڵە هەمیشەییەکانیشی لە ژێرەوە.
دوژمنی لەبەردەمت دەرکرد و
فەرمووی: ”لەناو ببە!“
28جا ئیسرائیل بە تەنها و بە ئاسوودەیی نیشتەجێ دەبێت،
جێنشینی یاقوب گیروگرفتی نابێت،
لە خاکی دانەوێڵە و شەرابی نوێ دەبێت،
ئاسمانەکەشی شەونم دەتکێنێت.
29ئەی ئیسرائیل، خۆزگەت پێ دەخوازرێت،
کێ وەک تۆیە،
گەلێکی ڕزگار بوو لەلایەن یەزدانەوە؟
قەڵغانی یارمەتی و
شمشێری شکۆمەندیتە،
جا دوژمنانت ملکەچیت بۆ دەنوێنن،
تۆش نزرگەکانی سەر بەرزاییان33:29 مەبەست لەو شوێنە بەرزانەیە کە بۆ قوربانیکردن و ڕێوڕەسمی پەرستنی بتەکان بووە، بڕوانە سەرژمێری 33:52. پێشێل دەکەیت.»
