The Sons of David
1These were the sons of David born to him in Hebron:
The firstborn was Amnon the son of Ahinoam of Jezreel;
the second, Daniel the son of Abigail of Carmel;
2the third, Absalom the son of Maakah daughter of Talmai king of Geshur;
the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith;
3the fifth, Shephatiah the son of Abital;
and the sixth, Ithream, by his wife Eglah.
4These six were born to David in Hebron, where he reigned seven years and six months.
David reigned in Jerusalem thirty-three years, 5and these were the children born to him there:
Shammua,3:5 Hebrew Shimea, a variant of Shammua Shobab, Nathan and Solomon. These four were by Bathsheba3:5 One Hebrew manuscript and Vulgate (see also Septuagint and 2 Samuel 11:3); most Hebrew manuscripts Bathshua daughter of Ammiel. 6There were also Ibhar, Elishua,3:6 Two Hebrew manuscripts (see also 2 Samuel 5:15 and 1 Chron. 14:5); most Hebrew manuscripts Elishama Eliphelet, 7Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, 8Elishama, Eliada and Eliphelet—nine in all. 9All these were the sons of David, besides his sons by his concubines. And Tamar was their sister.

15The sons of Josiah:
Johanan the firstborn,
Jehoiakim the second son,
Zedekiah the third,
Shallum the fourth.
16The successors of Jehoiakim:
Jehoiachin3:16 Hebrew Jeconiah, a variant of Jehoiachin; also in verse 17 his son,
and Zedekiah.
The Royal Line After the Exile
17The descendants of Jehoiachin the captive:
Shealtiel his son, 18Malkiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama and Nedabiah.
19The sons of Pedaiah:
Zerubbabel and Shimei.
The sons of Zerubbabel:
Meshullam and Hananiah.
Shelomith was their sister.
20There were also five others:
Hashubah, Ohel, Berekiah, Hasadiah and Jushab-Hesed.
21The descendants of Hananiah:
Pelatiah and Jeshaiah, and the sons of Rephaiah, of Arnan, of Obadiah and of Shekaniah.
22The descendants of Shekaniah:
Shemaiah and his sons:
Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah and Shaphat—six in all.
23The sons of Neariah:
Elioenai, Hizkiah and Azrikam—three in all.
24The sons of Elioenai:
Hodaviah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Delaiah and Anani—seven in all.

1Fiii lui David care i s‑au născut la Hebron au fost următorii:
Amnon, întâiul născut, fiul izreelitei Ahinoam;
Daniel, al doilea, fiul lui Abigail, carmelita;
2Absalom, al treilea, fiul Maacăi, fiica lui Talmai, regele Gheșurului;
Adonia, al patrulea, fiul Haghitei;
3Șefatia, al cincilea, fiul lui Abital;
Itream, al șaselea, al lui Egla, soția lui David;
4Aceștia șase i s‑au născut în Hebron. El a domnit acolo timp de șapte ani și șase luni, iar la Ierusalim a domnit timp de treizeci și trei de ani.
5Fiii care i s‑au născut la Ierusalim au fost:
Șamua, Șobab, Natan, Solomon – în total patru – născuți din Batșeba, fiica lui Amiel5 Numit și Eliam în 2 Sam. 11:3.; 6apoi Ibhar, Elișua, Elifelet, 7Nogah, Nefeg, Iafia, 8Elișama, Eliada și Elifelet – în total nouă. 9Toți aceștia au fost fiii lui David, în afară de fiii născuți de țiitoare. Tamar era sora lor.

fiul său, Iehoșafat;
11fiul său, Iehoram;

fiul său, Ioaș;
12fiul său, Amația;

fiul său, Iotam;
13fiul său, Ahaz;
fiul său, Ezechia;
fiul său, Manase;
14fiul său, Amon;
fiul său, Iosia.
15Fiii lui Iosia au fost:
Iohanan, întâiul lui născut;
Iehoiachim, al doilea născut;
Zedechia, al treilea născut;
Șalum, al patrulea născut.
16Urmașii lui Iehoiachim au fost:
fiul său, Iehoiachin,
și fiul acestuia16 Fiul lui Iosia și unchiul lui Iehoiachin, însă succesorul la tron al celui din urmă., Zedechia.

17Urmașii lui Iehoiachin au fost:
Asir17 Sau: urmașii lui Iehoiachin, captivul, au fost Șealtiel., – cu fiul lui, Șealtiel, – 18apoi Malchiram, Pedaia, Șenațar, Iekamia, Hoșama și Nedabia.
19Fiii lui Pedaia au fost:
Zerub-Babel și Șimei.
Fiii lui Zerub-Babel au fost:
Meșulam și Hanania, – Șelomit era sora lor, –
20apoi Hașuba, Ohel, Berechia, Hasadia și Iușab-Hesed – în total cinci.
21Urmașii lui Hanania au fost:
Pelatia și Ieșaia, fiii lui Refaia, fiii lui Arnan, fiii lui Obadia; fiii lui Șecania.
22Urmașii lui Șecania au fost:
Șemaia și fiii lui Șemaia:
Hatuș, Igal, Bariah, Nearia și Șafat – în total șase.
23Fiii lui Nearia au fost:
Elioenai, Ezechia și Azrikam – în total trei.
24Fiii lui Elioenai au fost:
Hodavia, Eliașib, Pelaia, Akub, Iohanan, Delaia și Anani – în total șapte.
