Psalm 97
1The Lord rules. Let the earth be glad.
Let countries that are far away be full of joy.
2Clouds and thick darkness surround him.
His rule is built on what is right and fair.
3The Lord sends fire ahead of him.
It burns up his enemies all around him.
4His lightning lights up the world.
The earth sees it and trembles.
5The mountains melt like wax when the Lord is near.
He is the Lord of the whole earth.
6The heavens announce that what he does is right.
All people everywhere see his glory.
7All who worship statues of gods or brag about them are put to shame.
All you gods, worship the Lord!
8Zion hears about it and is filled with joy.
Lord, the villages of Judah are glad
because of how you judge.
9Lord, you are the Most High God.
You rule over the whole earth.
You are honored much more than all gods.
10Let those who love the Lord hate evil.
He guards the lives of those who are faithful to him.
He saves them from the power of sinful people.
11Good things come to those who do what is right.
Joy comes to those whose hearts are honest.
12You who are godly, be glad because of what the Lord has done.
Praise him, because his name is holy.
स्तोत्र 97
1यह याहवेह का शासन है, पृथ्वी उल्लसित हो;
दूर के तटवर्ती क्षेत्र आनंद मनाएं.
2प्रभु के आस-पास मेघ और गहन अंधकार छाया हुआ है;
उनके सिंहासन का आधार धार्मिकता और सच्चाई है.
3जब वह आगे बढ़ते हैं,
अग्नि उनके आगे-आगे बढ़ते हुए उनके समस्त शत्रुओं को भस्म करती जाती है.
4उनकी बिजलियां समस्त विश्व को प्रकाशित कर देती हैं;
यह देख पृथ्वी कांप उठती है.
5याहवेह की उपस्थिति में पर्वत मोम समान पिघल जाते हैं,
उनके सामने, जो समस्त पृथ्वी के अधिकारी हैं.
6आकाशमंडल उनके सत्य की घोषणा करती है,
समस्त मनुष्य उनके तेज के दर्शक हैं.
7मूर्तियों के उपासक लज्जित कर दिए गए,
वे सभी, जो व्यर्थ प्रतिमाओं का गर्व करते हैं;
समस्त देवताओ, याहवेह की आराधना करो!
8यह सब सुनकर ज़ियोन आनंदित हुआ,
याहवेह, आपके निर्णयों के
कारण यहूदिया प्रदेश के समस्त नगर हर्षित हो गए.
9क्योंकि याहवेह, आप समस्त रचना में सर्वोच्च हैं;
समस्त देवताओं से आप कहीं अधिक महान एवं उत्तम ठहरे हैं.
10यह उपयुक्त है कि वे सभी, जिन्हें याहवेह से प्रेम है, बुराई से घृणा करें,
प्रभु अपने भक्तों के प्राणों की रक्षा करते हैं,
वह उन्हें दुष्टों की युक्ति से छुड़ाते हैं.
11धर्मियों के जीवन प्रकाशित किए जाते हैं
तथा निष्ठों के हृदय आनन्दविभोर.
12समस्त धर्मियो, याहवेह में प्रफुल्लित हो
और उनके पवित्र नाम का स्तवन करो.
