Psalm 92
A psalm. A song for the Sabbath day.
1Lord, it is good to praise you.
Most High God, it is good to make music to honor you.
2It is good to sing every morning about your love.
It is good to sing every night about how faithful you are.
3I sing about it to the music of the lyre that has ten strings.
I sing about it to the music of the harp.
4Lord, you make me glad by your deeds.
I sing for joy about what you have done.
5Lord, how great are the things you do!
How wise your thoughts are!
6Here is something that people without sense don’t know.
Here is what foolish people don’t understand.
7Those who are evil spring up like grass.
Those who do wrong succeed.
But they will be destroyed forever.
8But Lord, you are honored forever.
9Lord, your enemies will certainly die.
All those who do evil will be scattered.
10You have made me as strong as a wild ox.
You have poured the finest olive oil on me.
11I’ve seen my evil enemies destroyed.
I’ve heard that they have lost the battle.
12Those who do what is right will grow like a palm tree.
They will grow strong like a cedar tree in Lebanon.
13Their roots will be firm in the house of the Lord.
They will grow strong and healthy in the courtyards of our God.
14When they get old, they will still bear fruit.
Like young trees they will stay fresh and strong.
15They will say to everyone, “The Lord is honest.
He is my Rock, and there is no evil in him.”
Salmo 92Salmo 92 Ang titulo sa Hebreo: Ang kanta sa Adlaw nga Inugpahuway.
Kanta sa Pagdayaw sa Dios
1Ginoo nga Labing Mataas nga Dios, maayo gid ang magpasalamat kag magkanta sang mga pagdayaw sa imo.
2Maayo gid ang magsugid sang imo gugma kag katutom adlaw-gab-i,
3nga ginatukaran sang mga instrumento nga may mga kuwerdas.
4Kay ginlipay mo ako, Ginoo, paagi sa imo makatilingala nga mga binuhatan.
Tungod sang imo mga ginhimo nagakanta ako sa kalipay.
5Daw ano ka gamhanan ang imo mga ginhimo, Ginoo!
Indi namon matungkad ang imo hunahuna.
6Indi maintiendihan sang mga buang-buang ukon sang mga balingag
7nga bisan mag-uswag ang mga malaot pareho sa hilamon nga nagatubo, laglagon sila sa wala sing katapusan.
8Pero ikaw, Ginoo, labaw sa tanan sa wala sing katapusan.
9Sigurado gid nga ang tanan mo nga malaot nga mga kaaway magalalapta kag magakalamatay.
10Ginhatagan mo ako sang kusog pareho sa kusog sang talunon nga baka,
kag ginhatagan mo ako sang kalipay.92:10 ginhatagan… kalipay: sa literal, ginhaplasan ako sang maayo nga klase sang lana.
11Nabatian ko kag nakita mismo ang pagkapierdi sang akon malaot nga mga kaaway.
12Ang mga matarong magauswag pareho sa mga palma nga nagalambo,
kag magabakod sila pareho sa mga kahoy nga sedro sang Lebanon.
13Pareho sila sa mga kahoy nga gintanom sa templo sang Ginoo nga aton Dios,
nga nagalambo
14kag nagapamunga gihapon bisan tigulang na,
kag padayon nga malagtom kag mabakod.
15Nagapakita lang ini nga matarong ang Ginoo nga akon palalipdan nga bato;
wala gid sing kalautan sa iya.
