Psalm 66 – NIRV & CST

New International Reader’s Version

Psalm 66:1-20

Psalm 66

For the director of music. A song. A psalm.

1Shout to God for joy, everyone on earth!

2Sing about the glory of his name!

Give him glorious praise!

3Say to God, “What wonderful things you do!

Your power is so great

that your enemies bow down to you in fear.

4Everyone on earth bows down to you.

They sing praise to you.

They sing the praises of your name.”

5Come and see what God has done.

See what wonderful things he has done for people!

6He turned the Red Sea into dry land.

The people of Israel passed through the waters on foot.

Come, let us be full of joy because of what he did.

7He rules by his power forever.

His eyes watch the nations.

Let no one who refuses to obey him rise up against him.

8Praise our God, all you nations.

Let the sound of the praise you give him be heard.

9He has kept us alive.

He has kept our feet from slipping.

10God, you have tested us.

You put us through fire to make us like silver.

11You put us in prison.

You placed heavy loads on our backs.

12You let our enemies ride their chariots over our heads.

We went through fire and water.

But you brought us to a place

where we have everything we need.

13I will come to your temple with burnt offerings.

I will keep my promises to you.

14I made them with my lips.

My mouth spoke them when I was in trouble.

15I will sacrifice fat animals to you as burnt offerings.

I will offer rams, bulls and goats to you.

16Come and hear, all you who have respect for God.

Let me tell you what he has done for me.

17I cried out to him with my mouth.

I praised him with my tongue.

18If I had enjoyed having sin in my heart,

the Lord would not have listened.

19But God has surely listened.

He has heard my prayer.

20Give praise to God.

He has accepted my prayer.

He has not held back his love from me.

Salmo 66:1-20

Salmo 66

Al director musical. Cántico. Salmo.

1¡Aclamad alegres a Dios,

habitantes de toda la tierra!

2Cantad salmos a su glorioso nombre;

¡rendidle gloriosas alabanzas!

3Decidle a Dios:

«¡Cuán imponentes son tus obras!

Es tan grande tu poder

que tus enemigos mismos se rinden ante ti.

4Toda la tierra se postra en tu presencia,

y te cantan salmos;

cantan salmos a tu nombre». Selah

5¡Venid y ved las proezas de Dios,

sus obras portentosas en nuestro favor!

6Convirtió el mar en tierra seca,

y el pueblo cruzó el río a pie.

¡Regocijémonos en él!

7Con su poder gobierna eternamente;

sus ojos vigilan a las naciones.

¡Que no se levanten contra él los rebeldes! Selah

8Pueblos todos, bendecid a nuestro Dios,

haced oír la voz de su alabanza.

9Él ha protegido nuestra vida,

ha evitado que resbalen nuestros pies.

10Tú, oh Dios, nos has puesto a prueba;

nos has purificado como a la plata.

11Nos has hecho caer en una red;

¡pesada carga nos has echado a cuestas!

12Las caballerías nos han aplastado la cabeza;

junto con el humo de ofrendas de carneros;

te ofreceré toros y machos cabríos. Selah

16Venid vosotros, los que teméis a Dios,

escuchad, que voy a contaros

todo lo que él ha hecho por mí.

17Clamé a él con mi boca;

lo alabé con mi lengua.

18Si en mi corazón hubiera yo abrigado maldad,

el Señor no me habría escuchado;

19pero Dios sí me ha escuchado,

ha atendido a la voz de mi plegaria.

20¡Bendito sea Dios,

que no rechazó mi plegaria

ni me negó su amor!
