Psalm 36
For the director of music. A psalm of David, the servant of the Lord.
1I have a message from God in my heart.
It is about the evil ways of anyone who sins.
They don’t have any respect for God.
2They praise themselves so much
that they can’t see their sin or hate it.
3Their mouths speak words that are evil and false.
They do not act wisely or do what is good.
4Even as they lie in bed they make evil plans.
They commit themselves to a sinful way of life.
They never say no to what is wrong.
5Lord, your love is as high as the heavens.
Your faithful love reaches up to the skies.
6Your holiness is as great as the height of the highest mountains.
You are as honest as the oceans are deep.
Lord, you keep people and animals safe.
7How priceless your faithful love is!
People find safety in the shadow of your wings.
8They eat well because there is more than enough in your house.
You let them drink from your river that flows with good things.
9You have the fountain of life.
We are filled with light because you give us light.
10Keep on loving those who know you.
Keep on doing right to those whose hearts are honest.
11Don’t let the feet of those who are proud step on me.
Don’t let the hands of those who are evil drive me away.
12See how those who do evil have fallen!

136.1: Ro 3.18.Ìré-òfin-kọjá ènìyàn búburú
jẹ́ kí n mọ̀ nínú ọkàn mi pé;
Ìbẹ̀rù Ọlọ́run kò sí
níwájú wọn.
2Nítorí pé wọ́n pọ́n ara wọn ní ojú ara wọn
títí tí a kò fi le rí ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọn láti kórìíra.
3Ọ̀rọ̀ ẹnu wọn ni ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ òhun ẹ̀tàn;
wọ́n ti fi ọgbọ́n àti ṣíṣe rere sílẹ̀;
4Wọ́n gbìmọ̀ ìwà ìkà nígbà tí wọ́n wà lórí ibùsùn wọn:
wọ́n gba ọ̀nà tí kò dára
wọn kò sì kọ ọ̀nà ibi sílẹ̀.
5Ìdúró ṣinṣin ìfẹ́ rẹ, ìwọ Olúwa, ó ga dé ọ̀run,
òtítọ́ ọ̀ rẹ ga dé àwọsánmọ̀.
6Òdodo rẹ dàbí àwọn òkè Ọlọ́run,
àwọn ìdájọ́ rẹ dàbí ibú ńlá;
ìwọ gba ẹranko àti ènìyàn là, Olúwa.
7Báwo ni ìṣeun ìdúró ṣinṣin ìfẹ́ rẹ ti tó! Ọlọ́run!
Kí gbogbo ọmọ ènìyàn le sá sí abẹ́ òjìji ìyẹ́ rẹ.
8Àsè ilé rẹ yóò tẹ́ wọn lọ́rùn gidigidi;
ìwọ yóò sì mú wọn mu nínú odò inú dídùn rẹ.
9Nítorí pé pẹ̀lú rẹ ni orísun ìyè wà:
nínú ìmọ́lẹ̀ rẹ ni àwa yóò rí ìmọ́lẹ̀.
10Mú ìṣeun ìfẹ́ ẹ̀ rẹ sí àwọn tí ó mọ̀ ọ́n
àti ìgbàlà rẹ sí àwọn tí ó ní ìdúró ṣinṣin ọkàn!
11Má ṣe jẹ́ kí ẹsẹ̀ agbéraga kí ó wá sí orí mi,
kí o má sì jẹ́ kí ọwọ́ àwọn ènìyàn búburú sí mi ní ipò.
12Níbẹ̀ ni àwọn oníṣẹ́ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ gbé ṣubú sí:
a rẹ̀ wọ́n sílẹ̀, wọn kì yóò le è dìde!
