Psalm 20
For the director of music. A psalm of David.
1May the Lord answer you when you are in trouble.
May the God of Jacob keep you safe.
2May he send you help from the sacred tent.
May he give you aid from Zion.
3May he remember all your sacrifices.
May he accept your burnt offerings.
4May he give you what your heart wishes for.
May he make all your plans succeed.
5May we shout for joy over your victory.
May we lift up our flags in the name of our God.
May the Lord give you everything you ask for.
6Now I know that the Lord gives victory to his anointed king.
He answers him from his sacred home in heaven.
The power of God’s right hand gives victory to the king.
7Some trust in chariots. Some trust in horses.
But we trust in the Lord our God.
8They are brought to their knees and fall down.
But we get up and stand firm.
9Lord, give victory to the king!
Answer us when we call out to you!

na ɔmfiri Sion mmɛhyɛ wo den.
3Ɔnkae wʼafɔrebɔ nyinaa
na ɔmma wo hyeɛ afɔdeɛ nsɔ nʼani.
4Ɔmma wo deɛ wʼakoma pɛ,
na wo nhyehyɛeɛ nyinaa nyɛ yie.
5Yɛbɛbɔ ose ɛberɛ a woadi nkonim
na yɛama yɛn frankaa so wɔ yɛn Onyankopɔn din mu.
Awurade nyɛ wʼabisadeɛ nyinaa mma wo.
6Afei mahunu sɛ Awurade gye deɛ wasra no no nkwa;
ɔgye no so wɔ ne soro kronkron hɔ
ɔde tumi a ɛfiri ne nsa nifa mu no ma no nkwagyeɛ.
7Ebinom de wɔn ho to wɔn nteaseɛnam so
na afoforɔ nso, wɔn apɔnkɔ so,
nanso yɛn deɛ, yɛde yɛn ho to Awurade yɛn Onyankopɔn din so.
8Saa nkurɔfoɔ no, wɔbrɛ wɔn ase ma wɔhwehwe ase,
na yɛn deɛ, yɛsɔre gyina pintinn.
9Ao Awurade gye ɔhene nkwa!
Na sɛ yɛfrɛ nso a, gye yɛn so.
