Psalm 148
1Praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord from the heavens.
Praise him in the heavens above.
2Praise him, all his angels.
Praise him, all his angels in heaven.
3Praise him, sun and moon.
Praise him, all you shining stars.
4Praise him, you highest heavens.
Praise him, you waters above the skies.
5Let all of them praise the name of the Lord,
because at his command they were created.
6He established them for ever and ever.
He gave them laws they will always have to obey.
7Praise the Lord from the earth,
you great sea creatures and all the deepest parts of the ocean.
8Praise him, lightning and hail, snow and clouds.
Praise him, you stormy winds that obey him.
9Praise him, all you mountains and hills.
Praise him, all you fruit trees and cedar trees.
10Praise him, all you wild animals and cattle.
Praise him, you small creatures and flying birds.
11Praise him, you kings of the earth and all nations.
Praise him, all you princes and rulers on earth.
12Praise him, young men and women.
Praise him, old men and children.
13Let them praise the name of the Lord.
His name alone is honored.
His glory is higher than the earth and the heavens.
14He has given his people a strong king.
All his faithful people praise him for that gift.
All the people of Israel are close to his heart.

1Aleluia!
Louvem o Senhor desde os céus,
louvem-no nas alturas!
2Louvem-no todos os seus anjos,
louvem-no todos os seus exércitos celestiais.
3Louvem-no sol e lua,
louvem-no todas as estrelas cintilantes.
4Louvem-no os mais altos céus
e as águas acima do firmamento.
5Louvem todos eles o nome do Senhor,
pois ordenou, e eles foram criados.
6Ele os estabeleceu em seus lugares para todo o sempre;
deu-lhes um decreto que jamais mudará.
7Louvem o Senhor, vocês que estão na terra,
serpentes marinhas e todas as profundezas,
8relâmpagos e granizo, neve e neblina,
vendavais que cumprem o que ele determina,
9todas as montanhas e colinas,
árvores frutíferas e todos os cedros,
10todos os animais selvagens
e os rebanhos domésticos,
todos os demais seres vivos e as aves,
11reis da terra e todas as nações,
todos os governantes e juízes da terra,
12moços e moças,
velhos e crianças.
13Louvem todos o nome do Senhor,
pois somente o seu nome é exaltado;
a sua majestade está acima da terra e dos céus.
14Ele concedeu poder148.14 Hebraico: levantou um chifre. ao seu povo
e recebeu louvor de todos os seus fiéis,
dos israelitas, povo a quem ele tanto ama.
