Psalm 108
A song. A psalm of David.
1God, my heart feels secure.
I will sing and make music to you with all my heart.
2Harp and lyre, wake up!
I want to sing and make music before the sun rises.
3Lord, I will praise you among the nations.
I will sing about you among the people of the earth.
4Great is your love. It is higher than the heavens.
Your truth reaches to the skies.
5God, may you be honored above the heavens.
Let your glory be over the whole earth.
6Save us. Help us with your powerful right hand,
so that those you love may be saved.
7God has spoken from his temple.
He has said, “I will win the battle.
Then I will divide up the land around Shechem.
I will divide up the Valley of Sukkoth.
8Gilead belongs to me, and so does the land of Manasseh.
Ephraim is the strongest tribe. It is like a helmet for my head.
Judah is the royal tribe. It is like a ruler’s scepter.
9Moab serves me like one who washes my feet.
I toss my sandal on Edom to show that I own it.
I shout to Philistia that I have won the battle.”
10Who will bring me to the city that has high walls around it?
Who will lead me to the land of Edom?
11God, isn’t it you, even though you have now turned away from us?
Isn’t it you, even though you don’t lead our armies into battle anymore?
12Help us against our enemies.
The help people give doesn’t amount to anything.
13With your help we will win the battle.
You will walk all over our enemies.

nitaimba na kusifu kwa moyo wangu wote.
2108:2 Ay 21:12Amka, kinubi na zeze!
Nitayaamsha mapambazuko.
3Nitakusifu wewe, Ee Bwana, katikati ya mataifa;
nitaimba habari zako, katikati ya jamaa za watu.
4108:4 Hes 14:18; Kum 7:9; Kut 34:6; Za 36:5; Mik 7:18-20Kwa maana upendo wako ni mkuu, ni juu kuliko mbingu;
uaminifu wako unazifikia anga.
5108:5 Za 8:1; 57:5Ee Mungu, utukuzwe juu ya mbingu,
utukufu wako na uenee duniani kote.
6108:6 Ay 40:14Tuokoe na utusaidie kwa mkono wako wa kuume,
ili wale uwapendao wapate kuokolewa.

“Nitaigawa Shekemu kwa ushindi
na kulipima Bonde la Sukothi.

Efraimu ni kofia yangu ya chuma,
nayo Yuda ni fimbo yangu ya utawala.
9108:9 Mwa 19:37; 2Sam 8:1, 13-14Moabu ni sinia langu la kunawia,
juu ya Edomu natupa kiatu changu;
nashangilia kwa kushindwa kwa Ufilisti.”
10108:10 Za 60:9Ni nani atakayenipeleka hadi mji wenye ngome?
Ni nani atakayeniongoza hadi nifike Edomu?
11108:11 Za 44:9Ee Mungu, si ni wewe uliyetukataa sisi,
na hutoki tena na majeshi yetu?
12108:12 Isa 10:3; 30:3, 5; 31:3; Yer 2:36; 17:7; Za 118:8; 146:3Tuletee msaada dhidi ya adui,
kwa maana msaada wa mwanadamu haufai kitu.
13108:13 Za 44:5; Isa 22:5; 63:3, 6; 25:10; Mao 1:15; Mal 4:3; Ufu 14:9Kwa msaada wa Mungu tutapata ushindi,
naye atawaponda adui zetu.
