Jesus Prays for Himself
1After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed. He said,
“Father, the time has come. Bring glory to your Son. Then your Son will bring glory to you. 2You gave him authority over all people. He gives eternal life to all those you have given him. 3And what is eternal life? It is knowing you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 4I have brought you glory on earth. I have finished the work you gave me to do. 5So now, Father, give glory to me in heaven where your throne is. Give me the glory I had with you before the world began.
Jesus Prays for His Disciples
6“I have shown you to the disciples you gave me out of the world. They were yours. You gave them to me. And they have obeyed your word. 7Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. 8I gave them the words you gave me. And they accepted them. They knew for certain that I came from you. They believed that you sent me. 9I pray for them. I am not praying for the world. I am praying for those you have given me, because they are yours. 10All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. Glory has come to me because of my disciples. 11I will not remain in the world any longer. But they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them safe by the power of your name. It is the name you gave me. Keep them safe so they can be one, just as you and I are one. 12While I was with them, I guarded them. I kept them safe through the name you gave me. None of them has been lost, except the one who was headed for ruin. It happened so that Scripture would come true.
13“I am coming to you now. But I say these things while I am still in the world. I say them so that those you gave me can have the same joy that I have. 14I have given them your word. The world has hated them. That’s because they are not part of the world any more than I am. 15I do not pray that you will take them out of the world. I pray that you will keep them safe from the evil one. 16They do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to it. 17Use the truth to make them holy. Your word is truth. 18You sent me into the world. In the same way, I have sent them into the world. 19I make myself holy for them so that they too can be made holy by the truth.
Jesus Prays for All Believers
20“I do not pray only for them. I pray also for everyone who will believe in me because of their message. 21Father, I pray they will be one, just as you are in me and I am in you. I want them also to be in us. Then the world will believe that you have sent me. 22I have given them the glory you gave me. I did this so they would be one, just as we are one. 23I will be in them, just as you are in me. This is so that they may be brought together perfectly as one. Then the world will know that you sent me. It will also show the world that you have loved those you gave me, just as you have loved me.
24“Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am. I want them to see my glory, the glory you have given me. You gave it to me because you loved me before the world was created.
25“Father, you are holy. The world does not know you, but I know you. Those you have given me know you have sent me. 26I have shown you to them. And I will continue to show you to them. Then the love you have for me will be in them. I myself will be in them.”
耶穌的禱告
1耶穌說完後，就抬頭望著天說：「父啊！時候到了，願你使你的兒子得榮耀，好讓你的兒子也使你得榮耀。 2因為你把管理世人的權柄賜給了祂，使祂可以將永生賜予你交託給祂的人。 3這永生就是，認識你——獨一的真神，並且認識你所差來的耶穌基督。 4我已經完成你交給我的工作，使你在地上得了榮耀。 5父啊，現在讓我和你同享創世以前我們所共有的榮耀吧！
6「你從世上賜給我的人，我已將你17·6 「你」希臘文是「你的名」，「名」代表一個人的全部。顯明給他們。他們本來屬於你，你將他們賜給了我，他們遵守你的道。 7如今他們知道，你賜給我的一切都是從你那裡來的， 8因為我已經把你賜給我的道賜給他們，他們也接受了，並且確實知道我是從你那裡來的，也相信是你差遣了我。
9「我不為世人祈求，卻為他們祈求，就是為你賜給我的那些人祈求，因為他們屬於你。 10一切屬於我的都是你的，屬於你的也是我的，我從他們身上得了榮耀。 11現在我要離開這個世界去你那裡了，他們卻仍然留在世上。聖父啊，求你為了自己的名，就是你賜給我的名而保守他們，使他們像我們一樣合而為一。 12我和他們在一起的時候，靠著你賜給我的名保守他們，看顧他們。除了那個注定滅亡的人以外，他們一個也沒有滅亡，這是為了應驗聖經上的話。
13「現在我要去你那裡了，我趁著還在世上的時候這樣說，是要叫他們心裡充滿我的喜樂。 14我已將你的道賜給他們，世人恨他們，因為他們像我一樣不屬於這個世界。 15我不求你帶他們離開這個世界，但求你保守他們脫離那惡者。 16因為他們像我一樣不屬於這個世界。 17求你用真理，就是你的道，使他們聖潔。 18你怎樣差我到世上來，我也照樣差他們到世人中間。 19為了他們，我獻上自己，使他們藉著真理可以聖潔。
20「我不但為這些人祈求，也為那些因他們的話而信我的人祈求， 21使他們都合而為一，正如父你在我裡面，我在你裡面一樣，並且使他們也在我們裡面，好讓世人相信是你差我來的。 22我又將你賜給我的榮耀賜給他們，使他們像我們一樣合而為一。 23我在他們裡面，你在我裡面，好使他們也完完全全地合而為一。這樣，世人便知道我是你差來的，而且知道你愛他們，就像愛我一樣。
24「父啊！我在哪裡，願你賜給我的人也在哪裡，好讓他們看見你賜給我的榮耀，因為在創世以前你已經愛我了。 25公義的父啊！世界還未認識你以前，我已經認識你了，這些人也知道是你差我來的。 26我使他們認識了你的名，我還要使他們更認識你，好讓你對我的愛存在他們裡面，我也在他們裡面。」
