Jesus Comforts His Disciples
1“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God. Believe in me also. 2There are many rooms in my Father’s house. If this were not true, would I have told you that I am going there? Would I have told you that I would prepare a place for you there? 3If I go and do that, I will come back. And I will take you to be with me. Then you will also be where I am. 4You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Jesus Is the Way to the Father
5Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. So how can we know the way?”
6Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you really know me, you will know my Father also. From now on, you do know him. And you have seen him.”
8Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father. That will be enough for us.”
9Jesus answered, “Don’t you know me, Philip? I have been among you such a long time! Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. So how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10Don’t you believe that I am in the Father? Don’t you believe that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. The Father lives in me. He is the one who is doing his work. 11Believe me when I say I am in the Father. Also believe that the Father is in me. Or at least believe what the works I have been doing say about me. 12What I’m about to tell you is true. Anyone who believes in me will do the works I have been doing. In fact, they will do even greater things. That’s because I am going to the Father. 13And I will do anything you ask in my name. Then the Father will receive glory from the Son. 14You may ask me for anything in my name. I will do it.
Jesus Promises That the Holy Spirit Will Come
15“If you love me, obey my commands. 16I will ask the Father. And he will give you another friend to help you and to be with you forever. 17That friend is the Spirit of truth. The world can’t accept him. That’s because the world does not see him or know him. But you know him. He lives with you, and he will be in you. 18I will not leave you like children who don’t have parents. I will come to you. 19Before long, the world will not see me anymore. But you will see me. Because I live, you will live also. 20On that day you will realize that I am in my Father. You will know that you are in me, and I am in you. 21Anyone who has my commands and obeys them loves me. My Father will love the one who loves me. I too will love them. And I will show myself to them.”
22Then Judas spoke. “Lord,” he said, “why do you plan to show yourself only to us? Why not also to the world?” The Judas who spoke those words was not Judas Iscariot.
23Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them. We will come to them and make our home with them. 24Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. The words you hear me say are not my own. They belong to the Father who sent me.
25“I have spoken all these things while I am still with you. 26But the Father will send the Friend in my name to help you. The Friend is the Holy Spirit. He will teach you all things. He will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27I leave my peace with you. I give my peace to you. I do not give it to you as the world does. Do not let your hearts be troubled. And do not be afraid.
28“You heard me say, ‘I am going away. And I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad I am going to the Father. The Father is greater than I am. 29I have told you now before it happens. Then when it does happen, you will believe. 30I will not say much more to you. The prince of this world is coming. He has no power over me. 31But he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father. They must also learn that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me to do.

ماڵی باوکم
1«نیگەران مەبن. پشت بە خودا ببەستن14:1 ئەم دەربڕینە لە یۆنانیدا دوو واتا دەبەخشێت. لەمە نزیکترە کە دانراوە، بەم واتایەش دێت: (باوەڕ بە خودا بکەن.)، پشت بە منیش ببەستن. 2ماڵی باوکم ژووری زۆری لێیە، ئەگەر ئاوا نەبووایە پێم دەگوتن. من دەچم تاکو شوێنتان بۆ ئامادە بکەم. 3جا کە ڕۆیشتم و شوێنم بۆ ئامادەکردن، دێمەوە و دەتانبەمە لای خۆم، تاکو ئێوەش لەو شوێنە بن کە من لێی دەبم. 4ئێوەش ڕێگای ئەو شوێنە دەزانن کە بۆی دەچم.»
منم ڕێگا و ڕاستی و ژیان
5تۆماس پێی گوت: «گەورەم، نازانین بۆ کوێ دەچیت، چۆن ڕێگاکە بزانین؟»
6عیساش پێی فەرموو: «منم ڕێگا و ڕاستی و ژیان. کەس نایەتە لای باوک لە ڕێگەی منەوە نەبێت. 7ئەگەر ئێوە منتان بناسیایە، باوکیشمتان دەناسی. لە ئێستاوە دەیناسن و بینیوتانە.»
8فیلیپۆس پێی گوت: «گەورەم، باوکمان پیشان بدە و بەسمانە.»
9عیساش پێی فەرموو: «فیلیپۆس، ئایا تەنانەت لەدوای ئەم ماوە زۆرەش کە لەگەڵتانم، نەتناسیوم؟ ئەوەی منی بینیوە باوکی بینیوە. ئیتر چۆن دەڵێی: ”باوکمان نیشان بدە“؟ 10ئایا باوەڕ ناکەی من لە باوکدام و باوکیش لە مندایە؟ ئەو قسانەی پێتانی دەڵێم لە خۆمەوە نایڵێم، بەڵکو باوک کە لە مندا نیشتەجێیە، ئەو کارەکانی خۆی دەکات. 11باوەڕم پێ بکەن کە من لە باوکدام و باوکیش لە مندایە، ئەگەر نا بەهۆی کارەکان خۆیانەوە باوەڕ بکەن. 12ڕاستی ڕاستیتان پێ دەڵێم: ئەوەی باوەڕم پێ بهێنێت، ئەو کارانە دەکات کە من دەیکەم، لەمانەش گەورەتر14:12 بە واتای لە ژمارە بەدەر و بێ سنووری جوگرافی. دەکات، چونکە بۆ لای باوک دەچم. 13هەرچییەک بە ناوی منەوە داوا بکەن دەیکەم، تاکو باوک لە کوڕەکەدا شکۆدار بێت. 14ئەگەر شتێکتان بە ناوی منەوە داوا کرد، دەیکەم.
بەڵێنی هاتنی ڕۆحی پیرۆز
15«ئەگەر منتان خۆشبوێ کار بە ڕاسپاردەکانم دەکەن. 16منیش داوا لە باوک دەکەم یارمەتیدەرێکی14:16 لە زمانی یۆنانی بە واتای ئەوەی بانگکراوە و دێتە تەنیشتت بۆ یارمەتیدانت، مەبەستی لە ڕۆحی پیرۆزە کە شوێنی مەسیح دەگرێتەوە لە یارمەتیدانمان. دیکەتان14:16 بە زمانی یۆنانی بە واتای (دیکە) لە هەمان جۆر دێت. بداتێ کە هەتاهەتایە لەگەڵتان بمێنێتەوە، 17ڕۆحی ڕاستی، کە جیهان ناتوانێت وەریبگرێت، چونکە نایبینێت و نایناسێت. بەڵام ئێوە دەیناسن، چونکە لەگەڵتان دەمێنێتەوە و لەناو ئێوەدا دەبێت. 18بە هەتیوی بەجێتان ناهێڵیم، دێمەوە لاتان. 19پاش ماوەیەکی کەم ئیتر جیهان نامبینێت، بەڵام ئێوە دەمبینن. لەبەر ئەوەی من زیندووم، ئێوەش دەژین. 20لەو ڕۆژەدا دەزانن من لە باوکمدام، ئێوەش لە مندان، منیش لە ئێوەدام. 21ئەوەی ڕاسپاردەکانی منی لەلایە و کاریان پێ دەکات، ئەوا منی خۆشدەوێت. ئەوەی منی خۆشبوێ، باوکیشمی خۆشدەوێت، منیش خۆشمدەوێت و خۆمی بۆ دەردەخەم.»
22ئینجا یەهوزایەکی دیکە، کە یەهوزای ئەسخەریوتی نەبوو، لێی پرسی: «گەورەم، بۆچی دەتەوێ خۆت بۆ ئێمە دەربخەیت، بەڵام بۆ جیهان نا؟»
23عیسا وەڵامی دایەوە: «ئەوەی منی خۆشبوێ کار بە وتەکانم دەکات، باوکیشم خۆشی دەوێت و من و باوک دێینە لای و لەلای ئەویش نیشتەجێ دەبین. 24ئەوەش کە منی خۆشناوێت کار بە وتەکانم ناکات. ئەم وتانەی گوێتان لێی دەبێت هی من نییە، بەڵکو هی ئەو باوکەیە کە ناردوومی.
25«ئەمانەم پێ گوتن کە هێشتا لەلاتانم. 26بەڵام یارمەتیدەرەکە، ڕۆحی پیرۆز، ئەوەی باوک بە ناوی منەوە دەینێرێت، ئەو هەموو شتێکتان فێردەکات و هەموو ئەو شتانەی پێم گوتوون بیرتان دەخاتەوە14:26 بەڵێنێکی تایبەتە بۆ ئەوانەی گوێیان لە وتەکانی مەسیح بووە بە هاتنی سروش بۆ نووسینەوەی ئینجیلی پیرۆز..
ئاشتی عیسا
27«ئاشتیتان بۆ بەجێدەهێڵم، ئاشتی خۆمتان دەدەمێ. ئەوەی من دەتاندەمێ وەک ئەوە نییە کە جیهان دەتانداتێ. نیگەران مەبن و مەترسن.
28«گوێتان لێبوو پێم گوتن: ”دەڕۆم و دێمەوە لاتان.“ ئەگەر منتان خۆشبوێ، دڵشاد دەبن کە دەچمە لای باوک، چونکە باوک لە من مەزنترە. 29ئەوەتا ئێستا پێش ڕوودانی پێم گوتن، تاکو کاتێک ڕوویدا باوەڕ بهێنن. 30لەمەولا زۆر قسەتان لەگەڵ ناکەم، چونکە سەرۆکی ئەم جیهانە14:30 شەیتان. وا دێت. هیچ دەسەڵاتێکی بەسەر مندا نییە، 31بەڵام ئەو دێت تاکو جیهان بزانێت باوکم خۆشدەوێت و بەو شێوەیە کار دەکەم کە باوک ڕایسپاردووم.
