The Second Speech of Bildad
1Then Bildad the Shuhite replied,
2“Job, when will you stop these speeches of yours?
Be reasonable! Then we can talk.
3Why do you look at us as if we were cattle?
Why do you think of us as being stupid?
4Your anger is tearing you to pieces.
Does the earth have to be deserted just to prove you are right?
Must all the rocks be moved from their places?
5“The lamps of sinful people are blown out.
Their flames will never burn again.
6The lights in their tents become dark.
The lamps beside those who are evil go out.
7They walk more slowly than they used to.
Their own evil plans make them fall.
8Their feet take them into a net.
They wander right into it.
9A trap grabs hold of their heels.
It refuses to let them go.
10A trap lies in their path.
A rope to catch them is hidden on the ground.
11Terrors alarm them on every side.
They follow them every step of the way.
12Trouble would like to eat them up.
Danger waits for them when they fall.
13It eats away parts of their skin.
Death itself feeds on their arms and legs.
14They are torn away from the safety of their tents.
They are marched off to the one who rules over death.
15Fire races through their tents.
Burning sulfur is scattered over their homes.
16Their roots dry up under them.
Their branches dry up above them.
17No one on earth remembers them.
Their names are forgotten in the land.
18They are driven from light into the place of darkness.
They are thrown out of the world.
19Their family dies out among their people.
No one is left where they used to live.
20What has happened to them shocks the people in the west.
It terrifies the people in the east.
21Now you know what the homes of sinners are like.
Those who don’t know God live in places like that.”
Naghambal si Bildad
1Dayon nagsabat si Bildad nga taga-Shua, 2“Job, san-o mo pa bala untatan inang imo ginapanghambal? Kay-uha bala ang imo ginapanghambal kag maestorya kami sa imo. 3Ginakabig mo bala kami nga pareho sa mga baka nga wala sing pag-intiendi? 4Ginahalitan mo lang ang imo kaugalingon sa imo kaakig. Nagahunahuna ka bala nga tungod lang sa imo, pabay-an sang Dios ang kalibutan ukon sayluhon niya ang mga bato sa ila sini nahamtangan?
5“Sa pagkamatuod, ang malaot nga tawo sigurado gid nga mapatay. Pareho siya sang suga nga indi na magsiga. 6Mangin madulom ang iya tolda kay mapatay ang suga sa iya tupad. 7Sang una sigurado ang iya mga tikang, pero subong nagakatumba na siya. Ang iya mismo padihot amo ang nagalaglag sa iya. 8Siya mismo ang naglakat pakadto sa siod, kag nasiod siya. 9Indi na makahalin ang iya tiil. 10Ginbutang ini nga siod sa iya alagyan, kag natago ini sa duta. 11Nalibutan siya sang mga butang nga nagapahadlok sa iya kag daw sa nagalagas ini sa iya. 12Ang kalamidad daw sa gutom nga tawo nga gusto maglamon sa iya. Ang kalaglagan handa sa paglaglag sa iya. 13Ang iya panit ginaut-ot sang makamamatay nga balatian kag nagakadunot ang iya mga tiil kag kamot. 14Ginapahalin siya sa iya elistaran18:14 elistaran: sa literal, tolda. nga nagaprotektar sa iya, kag ginadala siya sa makahaladlok nga hari.18:14 makahaladlok nga hari: siguro ang buot silingon, ang kamatayon. 15Madula ang iya elistaran tungod masunog ini sang nagadabadaba nga asupre. 16Mangin pareho siya sang kahoy nga malaya ang mga gamot kag mga sanga sini. 17Wala na sing may magdumdom sa iya diri sa kalibutan. Kalimtan na gid siya. 18Tabugon siya sa sining kalibutan nga masanag pakadto sa lugar sang mga patay nga madulom. 19Wala siya sing mga anak ukon mga kaliwat, kag wala gid sing may mabilin nga buhi sa iya pamilya.18:19 pamilya: ukon, banwa. 20Ang mga tawo sa bisan diin nga lugar18:20 sa bisan diin nga lugar: sa literal, sa sidlangan kag sa nakatundan. nagakatingala kag nagakahadlukan sa natabo sa iya. 21Matuod gid nga amo ina ang dangatan sang malaot nga tawo, nga wala nagakilala sa Dios.”
