Paul Speaks Up for His Service to the Church
1Christ is humble and free of pride. Because of this, I make my appeal to you. I, Paul, am the one you call “shy” when I am face to face with you. But when I am away from you, you think I am “bold” toward you. 2I am coming to see you. Please don’t make me be as bold as I expect to be toward some people. They think that I live the way the people of this world live. 3I do live in the world. But I don’t fight my battles the way the people of the world do. 4The weapons I fight with are not the weapons the world uses. In fact, it is just the opposite. My weapons have the power of God to destroy the camps of the enemy. 5I destroy every claim and every reason that keeps people from knowing God. I keep every thought under control in order to make it obey Christ. 6Until you have obeyed completely, I will be ready to punish you every time you don’t obey.
7You are judging only by how things look on the surface. Suppose someone is sure they belong to Christ. Then they should consider again that we belong to Christ just as much as they do. 8Do I brag too much about the authority the Lord gave me? If I do, it’s because I want to build you up, not tear you down. And I’m not ashamed of that kind of bragging. 9Don’t think that I’m trying to scare you with my letters. 10Some say, “His letters sound important. They are powerful. But in person he doesn’t seem like much. And what he says doesn’t amount to anything.” 11People like that have a lot to learn. What I say in my letters when I’m away from you, I will do in my actions when I’m with you.
12I don’t dare to compare myself with those who praise themselves. I’m not that kind of person. They measure themselves by themselves. They compare themselves with themselves. When they do that, they are not wise. 13But I won’t brag more than I should. God himself has given me an opportunity for serving. I will only brag about what I have done with that opportunity. This opportunity for serving also includes you. 14I am not going too far in my bragging. I would be going too far if I hadn’t come to where you live. But I did get there with the good news about Christ. 15And I won’t brag about work done by others. If I did, I would be bragging more than I should. As your faith continues to grow, I hope that my work among you will greatly increase. 16Then I will be able to preach the good news in the areas beyond you. I don’t want to brag about work already done in someone else’s territory. 17But, “The one who brags should brag about what the Lord has done.” (Jeremiah 9:24) 18Those who praise themselves are not accepted. Those the Lord praises are accepted.

1में पौलुस ह मसीह के कोमलता अऊ नमरता के कारन तुमन ले बिनती करत हंव – जब मेंह तुम्हर आघू म रहिथंव, त डरपोक हो जाथंव; पर जब तुम्हर ले दूरिहा रहिथंव, त साहसी हो जाथंव। 2मेंह तुम्हर ले बिनती करथंव कि तुमन अइसने काम करव कि जब मेंह आवंव, त मोला तुम्हर संग कड़ई झन करना पड़य, जइसने कि मोला ओमन के संग करना चाही, जऊन मन ए समझथें कि हमन संसार के मुताबिक आचरन करथन। 3हालाकि हमन संसार म रहिथन, पर हमन संसारिक उदेस्य बर नइं लड़न। 4हमर लड़ई के हथियारमन संसारिक नो हंय, पर एमन परमेसर के सामरथी हथियार अंय, जेमन सैतान के गढ़ ला नास कर देथें। 5हमन बहस अऊ ओ हर एक घमंड ले भरे बात ला नास कर देथन, जऊन ह परमेसर के गियान के बिरोध म ठाढ़ होथे अऊ हमन मनखेमन के हर एक बिरोध के बात ला कैद कर लेथन ताकि ओमन मसीह के बात ला मानय। 6अऊ जब तुम्हर हुकूम माने के बात ह साबित हो जाही, त हमन हर एक ओ हुकूम नइं मनइयामन ला सजा दे बर तियार रहिबो।
7तुमन सिरिप बाहिर के चीज ला देखत हवव। यदि कोनो ला ए भरोसा हवय कि ओह मसीह के अय, त ओला फेर बिचार करना चाही कि जइसने ओह मसीह के अय, वइसने हमन घलो मसीह के अन। 8काबरकि यदि मेंह हमर अधिकार के बारे म कुछू घमंड करथंव, त एह मोर बर सरम के बात नो हय, काबरकि ए अधिकार, परभू ह हमन ला तुम्हर उन्नति बर दे हवय, तुमन ला नास करे बर नइं। 9मेंह नइं चाहत हंव कि तुमन ए समझव कि मेंह अपन चिट्ठी के दुवारा तुमन ला डराय के कोसिस करत हंव। 10काबरकि कुछू मनखेमन कहिथें, “पौलुस के चिट्ठी ह असरदार अऊ कठोर होथे, पर जब ओह हमर संग रहिथे, त ओह मनखे के रूप म कमजोर अऊ ओकर बातचीत ह हल्का जान पड़थे।” 11अइसने मनखेमन ए बात ला जान लेवंय कि पीठ पाछू जइसने हमन अपन चिट्ठी म लिखथन, वइसनेच हमर काम घलो होही, जब हमन तुम्हर करा आबो।
12जऊन मन खुद के बड़ई करथें, हमन अपन ला ओ मनखेमन के बरोबर रखे के या ओमन के संग अपन तुलना करे के हिम्मत नइं करन। जब ओमन अपन ला एक-दूसर के संग नापथें अऊ अपन तुलना एक-दूसर के संग करथें, त ओमन नासमझ एं। 13पर हमन हद के बाहिर घमंड नइं करन। हमर घमंड ह परमेसर के ठहिराय हद के भीतर होही, अऊ ए हद म तुमन घलो आथव। 14हमन जादा घमंड नइं करत हवन, यदि हमन तुम्हर करा नइं आय रहितेन, त ए मामला होतिस; पर हमन सबले पहिली मनखे रहेंन, जऊन मन तुम्हर करा मसीह के सुघर संदेस लेके आयेंन। 15आने मन के मिहनत ऊपर हमन सीमा के बाहिर घमंड नइं करन। पर हमन ला आसा हवय कि जइसने-जइसने मसीह म तुम्हर बिसवास ह बढ़त जाही, त हमर काम के इलाका ह घलो तुम्हर बीच म बहुंत बढ़त जाही। 16अऊ हमन तुम्हर इलाका के बाहिर सुघर संदेस के परचार कर सकबो। काबरकि आने मनखे के इलाका म पहिली ले करे गे काम के बारे म, हमन घमंड करे नइं चाहन। 17पर जऊन ह घमंड करे चाहथे, ओह परभू के काम ऊपर घमंड करय। 18काबरकि जऊन ह अपन बड़ई आप करथे, ओला सही मनखे नइं समझे जावय, पर जऊन मनखे के बड़ई परभू ह करथे, ओह सही मनखे समझे जाथे।
